Remarks

I Did not apply for any other colleges. I applied to IBS Mumbai only. For getting admission into IBS students have to appear for the IBSAT exam followed by GDPI. I had to appear for a Personal interview only due to the covid situation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I decided to pursue PGPM to make a career in the corporate. IBS offered the best facilities and faculty. Faculties are well qualified and have the best knowledge of current trends in the corporate world and market. IBS Mumbai has permanent and visiting faculty, IBS also organizes online webinars for students. Some faculties have also completed Ph.D. and specialization. Term exams were held online, after studying properly it's easy to pass the exams and all the internal tests conducted by the college.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Many companies came in to hire interns for the summer internship program. Established companies, marketing agencies, start-ups, food companies. Usually, internships are paid but due to the covid situation companies were not offering stipends. However, few offered stipend of about rs 5000/- rs 15000/- or some offered more. I completed my 3 months internship in the Lodha group. I mainly sourced clients for the Thane project. Companies offer a good learning experience to each student.

Placement Experience

3

IBS Mumbai offers campus placement to all eligible students. Placement activities start from the third semester in the month of August. Students are trained to make professional video CVs and good CVs for interviews. Mock group discussions and interviews are conducted. Placement packages start from 3lacs to 9 lacs as per my knowledge. Well-established companies, MNC, start up on state and national level come for hiring students with good packages and promise to give good work experience. 90+ percent of students get placed every year. Even during lockdown placement went smoothly and 95+ percent of students were placed in batch 2019-2021. I am planning to get a good job with good package. Targeting FMCG company with marketing domain. Work for a few year and side by side try for job abroad. Can't rate the placement experience as it is yet to start but I can say it will be a good learning and memorable experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure is accurate if compared to other colleges or B-schools. But fees could be reduced during the pandemic situations. Loan facility is accepted, scholarship is given to deserving students. Management makes decisions about this.

Campus Life

2.5

Due to the pandemic, I did not get a chance to experience campus life. But did get a chance to see college once. The classrooms are huge and spacious, well equipped with boards, benches, chairs, projector. IBS has various clubs for extra activities. The college promotes live projects, motivates students to participate in other college events. Konflux is the official annual program of IBS Mumbai. Each and every student participates in the managing activities. In 2021 the Konflux was held online and it was a successful event. The library has amazing collection of books which was put for online reading as well. IBS provides multiple case studies for students to read and study. College experience as of now is good but it could be great if we would get a chance to enjoy campus life.

Interview Experience

4

IBS entrance exam is conducted all over India and cut-off is set. Selected students have to appear for GDPI. Groups discussion and personal interviews were held in the month of February in Hyderabad. Due to the covid situation, only PI was conducted of many students. Have good general knowledge, be aware of market trends, economy be confident during GDPI.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
