Remarks

The colleges I applied for were Christ University (Bangalore), Narsee monjee (Mumbai), Birla global university (BBSR), Xavier University (BBSR). I did not avail for any quota for admission. The minimum marks criteria for the admission in the B.com(hons.) program was 60% both in secondary and higher secondary level and as far as age criteria is concerned there wasn't any as such. The Admission process was very smooth with all the paperwork done properly. There was a brief counselling before the admission but along with that the college provided flexibility to change the program after/during the convocation where there was detailed information discussion, in case the chosen one doesn't interest the student.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I really liked the course curriculum and the subjects I was curious about, furthermore, the college atmosphere and infrastructure pushed me to select this program. The college faculty are among the bests that I like about the college. They are really student friendly and very supportive. The faculty to students ratio is quite high given the fact that the students are very well managed by the faculty academically. In my view the faculty is highly qualified for the program. And the teaching techniques are top notch. The student doubts are very well addressed by the faculty and also they advise the students when necessary. There is also a feedback option given to the students periodically, where students are given the names of teachers and a few rating criteria on the basis of which we could rate the faculty. The exams were not very tough as the concepts and doubts were very well addressed and just by paying proper attention and following instructions one can score very well in the exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is quite good and affordable as compared to its other counterparts. The university does not charge anything extra from the students. Also as the classes commenced online, the hostel fees and other charges were removed from the payment of the semi-annual fee. The university provides a scholarship program based on the marks scored in both the board examinations. Also, the university provides financial assistance to those economically disadvantaged. Some of the students also cracked the campus placements and were offered jobs with great stipends.

Campus Life

5

There are numerous fests and events prevalent in the university. The religious festivals are best celebrated on the campus unifying the students to appreciate the diversity. Also, there are National events celebrations and along with that, there are also many talent hunts and other events which provide opportunities to the students to showcase their abilities. The university has a very well established library with all the required materials available for the students. There is hardly any required books or journal unavailable. The classrooms are spacious with proper air conditioning. The wide desks and the smart boards in the classroom makes a great atmosphere for learning in the class. The extracurricular activities are given ample importance in the university. The inter-house sports competition is the main attraction along with the sports events. There are many sports from which one can choose. Also, there are different conduits which are run by the students where they learn about team

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel rooms are air-conditioned and very clean and hygienic. Along with the attached washrooms which are cleaned every morning by the housekeeping. The rooms have proper space for every individual to do their job. The quality of food in the university is given great attention. They are very delicious and healthy. Also, the wastage of food is not tolerated here. Which helps students to learn the value of food. The registration process for the hostel was along with the admission process. During the admission process, one can avail of the hostel facility. The hostel fees are quite affordable as compared to a pg or other hostels given the facilities provided and the quality of food served.

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course bcom because I want to be a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). I think this is the best course I can opt for. All faculty members are good, calm and friendly so that students can communicate with them frankly but still we respect our faculty members ,teachers and head of our department. Moreover, faculty members are changing each semester wise. So till now everyone's teaching methods are well and good. Our semesters are conducted twice in a year and in between that internal exams are conducted for students practice. As from my point of view none of the exams could be difficult to pass, because if you study properly you will perform well in exams , if you didn't study then you will not perform well, as simple.
