College Review

I applied for IIM Indore but was not qualified for the interview level and didn't applied for other colleges due to a pandemic situation. So I got my admission to Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore because it was offering specialization courses that are not available in any college of Indore like BBA in Banking and Finance which I opted for further studies. I was admitted in the general quota only. For admission criteria of my program, I went to college and a short interview was taken, and then I filled in some details for further process. Though there were no minimum marks or age for plain BBA or B.com. courses but there were criteria of a minimum of 80% marks for the specialization program. The admission process was easy and my counseling was also done by the main coordinator of the Management department which was very informative. It is also known for quality education, and one of the leading institutes in the town. The faculties have good knowledge, teaching skills.

I chose this course because I want to work in Banking Industry and will also help me to be financially independent and manage my finance in future. The class strength is different for different programs. For specialized courses, the batch size is 30 to 60 students and for non - specialization programs it is 60 to 90. Faculties here are friendly in nature and have knowledge of course with good teaching skills and working experience. The exams were quite difficult in level for some specific subjects and the exams were conducted on time.

In my program, different internships were offered to us by top companies. I opted for BFSI SSC which is mainly in Banking Financial Services and Insurance sector. The stipend is also provided of a minimum of 8K from starting and good exposure to the financial world.

Generally, it starts from 3rd year only. Most of company starts hiring from 5th and 6th semester. The top recruiting companies which have visited campus for placements are : Airtel, Deloitte, HDFC Bank etc. 60% to 80% of students are placed in every batch with an average package of 5L to 6L. I would like to work in Banking Industry and may give different exams like Bank PO or RBI Grade B exam and many more for good job.

The fees are slightly high but program also provide certification course from different universities like Lingua Skills certification from University of Cambridge, CSBCS certification from IIBF etc. The college also provides the the internships with stipend and scholarships based on your performance.

The annual fest is known as Manthan which is mostly conducted in the winter season. due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we are not able to go to college from the day it started but still able to join different social groups and clubs which are quite active and interesting.
