Remarks

Those four of Amity has been a good time in fact I would say it has been the time which taught me handle peer pressure, worldly pressure in my life and how to manage when you have so many tings in your hand. It has given me a broader perspective towards life beyond just being an academic plcae.

Entrance Preview

I was a medical student and while preparing for PMT I realized that being Doctor is something which I don't wanna be. I wanted to have a corporate kind of life, and Amity has always been a name to achieve a good education along with over all development.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is well designed and well executed one. All the aspects of Biotechnology has been given appropriate weight-age along with the courses which helps in complete development of one's personality such as Behavioural Science and Business communication skills.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, But the it is mostly without stipend for undergraduate students. Though, I have never done any internship with the Institute but i have come across through friends that they provide good hands on practices for all the required equipment on the project and the work done is mostly good.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and Job opportunities are pretty well. s being a private College people really feel stressed whether they will get placed or not but in this case most of the students are placed. Onl; those with extremely bad grades gets remained. The average package for the institute is between 3.5-4 LPA provided by companies such as Wipro, Accenture, ITC, Cognizant etc.

College Events

5

There are so many events that use to take place starting from very first month of academic Year there are following events: Freshers Party- Aug, Sangathan (University Sports meet which last for approx 10-12 days) -Sept end till Oct, Technical Fest (Incyte)- jan/Feb, Cultural Fest (Urooj)- March/April, University Fest (AYF)- April end all the events use to occur a massive level. In fest the footfall use to be around of 10000 people. whereas for sports meet approx 15-18 sports were played.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of the Amity University as known is bit on the higher side. But is still feasible. During my batch the fees were approx 68000 INR for those who score 70% and above in class XII exams and were higher for people between 60-70%. The fee starting from 68k use to increase by 5% every semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

College has association with Allahabad Bank which helps in getting education loans to the students. along side students withe exceptionally well marks in Class XII had the opportunity to get the scholarship ans those who could maintain a good grade during their college time could continue with the scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Campus life extremely enriching with a extreme diverse population to live with. The gender ration is pretty good here. courses such as Biotech, life sciences, Language courses had more of female students whereas courses such as mechanical, Aeronautics had more of male crowd. Though the campus had pretty heterogeneous crowd which involved students of different nationalities and exchange programs. Such as African, French, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are extremely good with the facility of Acs as well as non-Ac accommodation but they don't have the facility of mess. But instead a wonderful variety of food is provided by cafeteria and other brands such as Domno's, Mrs. kaur's, cocoberry, MamaMia etc and also not to forget the extremely tasty food at stalls like Balli's outside Gate No 2. As the number of students are very high in the Campus accordingly seats for hostel are bit less and in such cases a lot of PG accommodations have been created by locals in the near around area.

Alumni/Alumna

Amity has its own Alumni portal which invite alumni for yearly get together and various speeches and motivational episodes are being taken up by successful Alumnis.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is really rigorous. With almost 2 assignments of every subject every semester to one set of internals and than semester exams. the exams were taken very seriously but it gave us a learning that is time management. With so many things going around the campus one learnt how to manage everything in the same amount of time.

Admission

I just filled up Amity's form available online and waited for the call for interview. As I had decent marks in class XII so was called for Interview. I appeared for the same. My interview was taken by 3 Faculty members of College asking mind boggling questions but I managed to answer most of them and got selected.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties are extremely well in their knowledge as well their teaching skills. They provide holistic approach for the subject as well the future prospects of the course we were perusing along with the ethics to work in the corporate organisations.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field
