Remarks

I am in Shri Vaishnav College of Commerce pursuing B.com Honors. I chose this course because this course is treated as the base for MBA. As compared to BBA, B.com Honors are less expensive so that's also my reason. As compared to other colleges this one is really good providing a lot of opportunities. It's a whole new exposure for me. Admission criteria are marks of board class. Your percentage must be 60% or above. The admission procedure currently is in online mode. Well, there is no age limit in the college for admission. There is relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC and EWS. They have the provision of scholarships given according to the policy of the university and Madhya Pradesh government guidelines. I got admission through the sports quota. I also chose this college because it's famous for its B.com honors course and other courses as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose B.com honors because it will help me to make my base stronger for MBA, as I want to do MBA after completing my graduation. Faculty of this college is well educated as well as they have command over their subjects. Their teaching methods are great but there are some lecturers who are just. As I have chosen honors course there are 60 students out of which 35 are regular students. Well, this is the reason for less student and teacher ratio in the class as it reduces the faculties in B.com honors course. Exams are not so tough as they are in an online mode right now, but that does not mean that you do not have to study at all. You have to be thorough with topics.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first-year college, the fee is 13000 for the honors course and 9000 for the plain B.com course. In the second year, there is a hike of 4000 per course as facilities increases in second. The total fees are 18120 rupees. The fee structure is reasonable and affordable as well but hostel fees are really high it's 72000 rupees, not affordable for everyone. The college provides scholarships and I am also getting scholarships from the Madhya Pradesh government as I belong to the OBC category. I also got admission through the sports quota. They provide financial assistance for struggling students. The college invites company which requires 1st and 2nd-year students for internships like TCS, WIPRO, etc. I haven't done any internships till now. You become eligible for placements in 3rd year only. Companies like jaro education, TCS, WIPRO hire students from our college but the placement percentage is not so high here and the highest package is 3 lakhs. College is working with around 12 to 15 companies for placements of students.

Campus Life

3.5

Carnival is the annual fest of Shri Vaishnav College of Commerce. Sankalp is another annual function of the college. Classrooms are well equipped with modern technical facilities. There is a sports complex, gymnasium, healthcare center, modern computer lab, library with really good books, technology integration lab. College also has hostels inside the campus for both boys and girls. The college organizes and participates in a lot of cultural activities every year and also won many accolades. The sports complex is both indoor and outdoor. Overall college is affordable. There are social media handles of clubs and colleges and unions run by students and heads of the college only, There is an official website of the college. The environment is good here and the market is also close not far away. The campus is also green and good for evening walks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

one of the main reason I choose this cause was the balanced mix of the course objects and optional subjects, which helped me to customise my learning according to my career goes and in addition the focus on practical skills assignments projects give the course and h over purely theoretical programs. And the course curriculum was well designed to prepare students for both the professional life and there like further academy life . Concepts by explain in a way that can be applied in a real words scenarios and the projects and case studies provide exposure to practical challenges. Faculties really try to teach us the real world things. So overall for the students evening for higher studies the course builders solid conceptual foundation. Once suggestion would be like some topics could be updated to include the latest industries trends and technology advancements. And the other suggestion I would like to give will be the the exams and the tests were conducted regularly the frequency and timing could be better spaced to reduce exam pressure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course only because I didn't knew what to do at the time when I passed out from my school. The course structure is seriously required to be updated as it doesn't provide practical knowledge of the work that is actually being done. The level of exams is also very easy as it doesn't ask the questions to challenge the aptitude of the students appearing for the exams. One can pass the exams even without studying a lot and it doesn't require rigorous preparation academically which can help students to gain useful knowledge about the course.
