CAT - Common Admission Test i passed Legal Aptitude TEST - I got 70%. 60 % marks was the cut off marks Group Discussion I got 80% marks. 60% marks were the cut of marks Interview i got 15 out of 20. 12 marks was the cut off marks5000+ candidates appeared for CAT. 150 candidates were there for interview from them 50% were selected. I got 15th rank.

CUSAT has vivid internship programmes we were directed to go to the court and record proceedings there also moot courts were conducted and marks were awarded on the basis of the performance other departments like marine-ship building, computer-IT, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications invited reputed companies from all over INDIA to attend the Orientation/Internship programmes. They companies provided good stipend packages to the leading students among us.

CUSAT hosts every year big campus placement meets. Famous companies like TCS, INFOSYS, Tech Mahindra are leading companies who take pupils from the IT departments. Leading public sector banks consumes law students to their work force for the post of legal officers most of the students practice as lawyer under senior lawyers first and later they started their own profession independently. All other engineering and IT students who got placement were lucky to get stipend amounts to 60%. Legal students were not provided with any stipend that days.

There are Talent festivals at the end of every year before that a committee will be selected for the coordination and the conduction of the fest students of all three years are the participants best three are selected and are awarded mementos and cash awards. Apart from this Law Fest are conducted every attracting participants for the famous Moot Court Competitions. This is accredited fest and almost 200 participants from India and Abroad good cash awards and certificates are distributed for the winners.

Fee structure at CUSAT is less expensive there are fees exemption for backward class like scheduled castes and tribes for every year fees for tuition 1250 exam fees for every years - 1200 others included certificate fee, caution deposit, library fees etc which amounts to 2500.

Central and State government scholarships are available to bright students also SC/ST students were provided with free accommodation, food and tuition fees also Alumini Association arranged Merit Scholarship awards for the top scorers of each years in addition to that top scorers were given cash rewards worth 10,000 are awarded.

In CUSAT 60% of the total strength are males and the rest are females almost all students, more than 85 % students took part in the various cultural, academic competitions. Sportsmen were concentrated to games rather than atheletics.

Hostels are there for providing the accommodation facilities to its students. there are 3 male hostels and a female hostels accommodation is free. We can access hostel if we are outstation students. Ladies hostel is also there. Inside hostels mess / food

Among the seniors 3% are now either judges or court officers these pupil are ready help the new comers and their advise is worth listening all seniors and pass out students are automatically become members of Alumini Association. Right now there are 1208 member in alumini association.

Every three months there are internal exams and it costs 100 marks each year. These are awarded as Internal Assessment Marks. At the end of each year there will be a public examination, first two years. Students need to pass final exams otherwise were not
