Remarks
As of my choice priority, I applied for SGSITS and JEC before SATI, but as I got a 100 score out of 200 in 2012 PET and it was not sufficient therefor Electrical Engineering course as I belong to General class. Then I went to SATI. In my time, the cutoff for the general was 94. On the portal of DTE MP, we were asked to fill our choice, after the allotment, we reached college and in one day, I've got my confirmation letter and hostel allotment letter on the same day (but not room allowed, we were informed that we get the same when we come to join on commencement of classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
While choosing the course my target was a govt college with a core branch. My search was completed on SATI vidisha. A college with a good infrastructure, lab, autonomous curriculum leads me to a good engineering learning pattern. There were 22 teachers for 4 different years of engineering which means a 22:250 ratio, which can be considered a good ratio as of current time in college. Term exams were generally on time, winter term exams are generally conducted in November and summer term are in may. These exams were quite tricky which weren't easy to clear in just free flow. You have to go for a thorough study to clear them out. On the question of quality and faculty, one thing I can assure you that in govt college every teacher is highly qualified and with long teaching experienced. Labs were well equipped with all basic electric machines and electronics circuitry labs.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus selection. Generally, TCS, Tech Mahindra and some Indore based companies conduct recruitment drive. An average package of 3.6 L offers to students. Generally 50% student get recruited in companies. I've completed my graduation in 2016 and currently, I'm Sub engineer in the Urban administration department, MP govt.
Fees and Financial Aid
Comparing with all other government and private college, the fees structure is not so long to consider it as unaffordable. Although it got a surge in last some previous years, compared to some other overrated private college, the fees structure is pretty affordable. Alongside, banks in vidisha easily offer loans on education. In my last memory, fees were 55000 annually and the hostel was 24000 annually without including the mess cost. Mess fees were based on cooperative management of mess society.
Campus Life
There was an annual fest named Samrat Utsav which was techno-cultural fest. In the central library of the college, you can find all books, journal, magazine which is necessary/desirable for the course curriculum. In classrooms, especially NCR section was equipped with all amenities, and some smart classrooms were equipped with web support projector based live classrooms. In terms of sports exposure, you'll get proper opportunities for cricket, badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball, table tennis. In the memorial of madhavarav scindia, a cricket tournament is conducted there. Some other social groups like natures club, robo club and E-cell were there.
Hostel Facilities
There was 3 hostel for boys and 2 hostels for girls. Rooms were designed on old pattern, but spacious they are. No, attach let-bath as they were common wing-wise. A high speed WiFi internet connection was there. The meal standard was quite okay-okay. You weren't gonna satisfy with meal standards in the hostel. Although for the taste of change you'll get good out food option in the city.
