My Journey at AIMIT, Karnataka

Because of facilities provided, methodology to teach, and the placement rate achieved every year I opted for MBA program from this college. Besides, I got the facilities of sports complex where I often play badminton in free time and since I am a foodie, the food court is the best part of my college for me. Other facilities provided here are well- maintained classrooms, auditorium, conference halls, lift services, and a stocked library full of books, magazines, journals, CDs, DVDs containing other information related to courses.

The course curriculum offered comprises of modern teaching methods that focus on problem centric approach instead of theory- based approach. We are empowered with the governance and corporate ethics. Also, the syllabus is prepared focusing on the demand of the public and private sectors. Subjects like business analytics, HR, econometrics, finance and marketing management are taught. Above all, the faculties are too good, highly qualified and holding the experience of top leading companies and degrees of PhD, MPhil from IIMs, IITs and others top institutions. They gives us training of organizational behaviours, personality enhancement, soft skills and keep most importantly, keep us aware of the latest requirements which are introduced in corporate world.

The top employers across the country keep visiting our campus to offer jobs. Also, the placement cell of our college keeps working to make sure that we get placed in leading companies with good CTC. However, among elite recruiters, KPMG, Bajaj Capital, Kotak Mahindra, Infosys, Berger Paints, IndiaBulls comes every year. The highest CTC offered the previous year was 7 LPA and the average package reached till 4 LPA. Though the placement is good yet I have decided to go for higher studies once I get the postgraduate degree.

The fee structure for MBA program in my college is 10 lakh for two years including facilities we get in the college and excluding the hostel and mess charges. Also, there are certain scholarship schemes for those belonging to SC/ST category, physically handicapped, financially weaker section, minorities and merit based. The rebate percentage differ based on the 'type' of scholarship scheme. However, I haven't availed the scholarships provided in my college.

Events in my college which are organized include spectra game pro, tech fest, ankuran science exhibition and other co-curricular and extra curricular activities are conducted frequently. Our department has theatre, music, literature, and other clubs as well. However, since 2020 due to the pandemic, many events didn't take place last year. But on general basis, various flagship events, festival celebration, convocation Fresher's Party, Farewell Party are conducted.
