Remarks

My reason for choosing Mody University was mainly because it is near home. Also after not doing too well in the JEE Mains, I could not get into any government colleges so this was the best option after that. ASSOCHAM actually ranked it the best women's university in the Asia Pacific and my parents were also relieved because it is a women's university. When applying, I saw that there were two kinds of Admissions Process, MUSAT (Mody University Scholarship cum Admission Test which is an online national level test. There are test Centres across many Cities of India too. But I went for the Fast Track Admission which allowed me to avail unique scholarship programmes which is available on getting 60 percent and above in 10+2 as well as Qualifying marks in relevant national level test. I submitted my Application Form online andd filled in a DD of Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of my university to apply. After that I soon got to know that I had been accepted and with a scholarship too.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Our department's curriculum is really inclusive. We get in-depth knowledge about AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning and other subjects which gives us the option to look around for different fields before we get to decide in one career path. Our profeesors are really good too, they help us as much as possible and encourage us to pursue our own projects as everyone believes in hands-on learning.

Placement Experience

3.5

I have heard that more than 90% of our seniors have been placed in reputed firms including top notch Bluechip and Multi National Companies and almost everyone I know who opted for placement have been placed. My seniors told me that more than 450 offers were made and Amazon who hired 2 students during its first visit and were so impressed that they came back and hired 7 more, Hewlett Packard has also repeated the same and recruited twice from our University. Everyone was quite excited about these actually. The highest package fetched by the students is 18 lakh per annum, while the average package stands at 4.5 lakh per annum, from what I hear.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My total amount of tuition fees for all four years comes to about 10 lakhs I think. Which is why the scholarships really come in handy. I get a 25% waiver on my tuition fee based on my last marks that is more than 80% Marks in Last Qualifying Exam (for best 5 subjects). There are actually about a dozen types of different scholarships from a 100% waiver to 10%s too. Oh, and my All India General Category Rank in JEE (Mains) had to be within upto 200001 -250000. Toppers of any State Board/Central Board get a full waiver I think children of Defence Personnel, Police, Paramilitary also gets about a 50% waiver, one of my friends who gets that told me.

Campus Life

3.5

I have a lovely time in campus with my friends actually! We are made to emphasize upon and work for an all-round development in various co-curricular activities like sports (which include both indoor and outdoor games). There are also cultural meets, fests and competitions are held from time to time which gets the campus buzzing. We, that is the School of Engineering and Technology students, also regularly participate in Students' conferences, symposia and competitions for Research paper presentations. This year our seniors won several prizes in such paper presentation competitions held in other institutions. Something my friends and I attende on our first year was the International Conference on Microbial, Plant and Animal Research (ICMPAR), which was funded by the Department of Biotechnology. There were hundreds of people including scientists, academicians and research scholars from India and abroad who participated and presented their research papers and posters. It was all quite amazing to see with my own two eyes.
