Remarks
Since Mody University is a private college, getting into it is relatively easy than getting into IITs, NITs or semi government institutions. In 2018, before joining the college I took a scholarship test according to which I received a 30% scholarship. Later, We were told that those scholarships are only for the first year. If you are taking an admission in a private college, be ready for the overhead expenses like fees for some additional ' etiquette' classes, increased hostel fee every sem etc. There's no reservation benefit as such but students for East India and NRI students have 50% scholarship.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Tech CSE since I was good at programing back in school days too. My background in C++ helped me alot in the first year of my college but this doesn't mean one who didn't have Programming language as their 5th subject in 12th standard will not be able to do it. Honestly talking about the curriculum, it's designed well. Like all other colleges, some teachers did their part well and some didn't, but since it's college, you'll have to learn how to study on your own because you may or may not understand everything the professors teach you. The teachers are anyway very helpful and will try their best to make the concept clear. Talking about examinations, they are held timely and are very well structured.
Internships Opportunities
Getting an internship in 2 years is a little difficult since the companies seeking 2nd year students are relatively less but talking about internships in 3rd year, it's relatively easy as a lot of companies are seeking 6 months interns.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good as compared to other colleges in Rajasthan. The highest package for the year 2021 was 27 LPA and the average package was 8 LPA. More than 50 companies visited this time ranging from fortune #1 companies to global banks to successful start ups. The CDC department of Mody University is very efficient and do realy promise a 100% placement rate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure changes as per the convenience of the management, there's no solid plan regarding that. Scholarships are also provided according to financial conditions and scholarships are only continued if you maintain a CGPA of 8 and above.
Campus Life
The most amazing thing about my college is the infrastructure! It's been 4 years since I've joined this college and not a single day has passed that I've not admired it's beauty. 300 acres of lush green campus, beautiful Tapovan (temple) and state of the art Auditoriums. Our library is huge too, with all sorts of books, magazines and journals one may desire in university. The best part about my college life has to be different clubs. The clubs are very active and you get to learn alot from them.
Hostel Facilities
There are a number of hostels inside as well as outside the campus. I luckily got the newest built hostel so that wasn't a problem for me. There are plenty of washrooms on each floor. The rooms are regularly cleaned and so are the washrooms. There's no wending machine available but a regular supply of milk in the morning and at night. The hostel is a little far away( 900 m approx) and the food is decent.
