Remarks
I decided to study here because MBA in amity is the most prominent course. It ranks 1001 in QR world global rankings, and is listed as one of the best private institute in India It was also due to it being close to my place in Noida and also because of the campus. The admission criteria was that I go through an entrance exam i.e CAT in which i had to score a minimum of 60%. It was then followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. To be honest it was the most easiest interview i have ever faced. I was then shortlisted and received a call few days later. The application form for the admission costs 1100 rs. In it i had to fill up all my personal details and attach my 10+2 documents, including my graduation certificate , passport size photographs and a transfer certificate from my pervious college.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course was MBA and i had specialized in media management. It is a two year degree program and it covers very interesting topics like business ethics, organizational behaviour and topics like principles of communication and corporate management are discussed. All the classes are taught through PPT as we have smart classes. This reduced the burden of carrying heavy books to college. Speaking of the ratio, it was 1:17 during my time and our department consisted of 6 faculty professors to conduct our classes. The exams are all semester based which consists of external as well as internal.
Placement Experience
The college does have a placement cell, but i never applied for any placement. I already had some other plans. The university does have many good tie ups and links with big companies like Deloitte, infosys, including JW marriott, ITC, Taj, lemon tree for event management. The average package starts from 2.5 lakhs p.a with the highest being 30 lakhs p.a .
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is however very expensive, but with that being said, the facilities too are available. The fees are to be paid on semester wise , which makes it four installments. The university does provide scholarships which are based on merit only, with no on campus jobs available.
Campus Life
The college conducts freshers welcome parties for new joinees. It also organises a three day fest known as Amity Youth fest. It is usually conducted during the month of March. There are various events to take part to, like dance, singing, treasure hunts and many more. The campus also has facilities like library, basketball court, swimming pools and various indoor sports too. Overall my campus life was amazing.
