A look towards COEB

I didn't apply for any other college, also I didn't take admission through any quota. The admission criteria for this college are through JEE or OJEE entrance exams. Students should have 12th board passing marks of a minimum of 60% and should carry valid JEE or OJEE rank. The minimum age for taking admission should be above 17. The admission process starts in the month of July. All the candidates were called for counseling on a selected day. This process hardly takes 1-2 hr. During these, the counselors verify the documents of the candidates and after successful verification, they're allowed to take a seat in the college.

I chose this course because I belong from a computer science background as during my 11th and 12th board I have chosen computer science as my stream and I felt very strong in this subject. The faculty and student ratio in our college is 1:20. Each lecture was assigned approx. 20 students for their assessment and known as 'proctor' for them. Some faculties are helpful and ready to help the students in all fields whenever needed. The faculties are regular with their assigned classes and follow their duty sincerely. Many of the faculties have an average experience of 5-6 yrs of teaching and some of them also have industrial work experience especially from the computer science branch. The lectures teach ineffective and understandable processes and make good interaction with the students. Every year we have 2 semesters i.e. even that occurs in the month of April and odd that occurs in the month of December. The Difficulty level of the exam is intermediate and students can pass easily.

From 2th semester onwards students are eligible for internship opportunities. Companies like CISCO, blue prism, CCNA are some of the opportunities which provide internship. Before the internship opportunity was more but now the internship opportunity is quite less. The company provides an eligibility test and the eligible candidates are allowed for internship. College guides for creating a mini project and make us present a seminar on the latest topics to make us interact with the latest technology.

From the 7th semester, the students are eligible for placement. Earlier Various companies came for hiring like AJATOA, Infosys, TCS, Paytm, Byju's but the percentage of placed students has decreased. Earlier 80% students got placed but now the percentage decreased to 20%. The highest package is 10LPA and the average is 4 LPA. Nowadays most students have to opt for off-campus. The training and placement cell provides training from the 6th semester onwards to prepare students for campus recruitment. If getting the B Tech degree I would like to explore more and prepare for M Tech through GATE or If I'll get placed in good company during my graduation then I'll join and prepare myself for higher studies.

Every student has a different fee structure depending upon quota, sources, and parents' income. The mode of transport could be cash, cheque, and online transaction. The registration fee for each semester is Rs1550/-. The college provides scholarship opportunities like medhabrute. The college placement offers from companies like TCS, Wipro, Byju's, etc. For the last 5 years, the placement offers are decreasing and students have to opt for off-campus. Students having 0 backlogs have the probability to get placed during the campus. The college tries its best to place its students in good companies by providing training programs.

Every year in the month of February we have a tech fest. It conducts multiple inter-college and inter-college competitions like Code guru, chess master, singing, GK, etc. The college has a library where we issue our course book and there are above 2500 books. The college has 30 classrooms including E-classroom. The College has 2 conference halls. The classroom has tables and benches and every classroom has a CCTV installed. The College has a basketball court and a badminton court with it the college has a cricket ground in which the pitch is made up of cement. Every year the college make an annual function but from last 6 years, the college is not arranging it.
