THE AMERICAN COLLEGE, "THE HEAVEN"

I haven't applied to any other colleges. To do my masters in this reputed college was my wish. There is an entrance exam for masters and one has to pass the exam to join the course there. And also the minimum percentage of the previous course should be above 70. Yes, the required two things are you're under graduation percentage and pass mark in the entrance exam. If selected they will send an email to approve our admission and after that one can go on through the process of admission. In my admission, I felt no difficulties as every info was provided to be very clear. It was a good experience.

I chose English literature as my major because I love literature. Yeah, I find it more interesting than other courses. On coming to faculty, one would manage up to 30 or 40 students and if more than that causes a distance between them. Most commonly 40 students are there in a class. The faculties have the minimum qualification of masters and passed in net exams. Oh, how can I describe their teaching which was not like teaching rather it's like active participation of students where you can never escape from that participation which brings interest and fluency of students. Also, mostly communication between students and teachers during class hours enhances students knowledge immensely. Coming to the terms of exams, it's really easy going when one studied everything through teacher's teaching. The little amount of effort and greater amount of participation during class hours was the secret of passing exams easily. I would say, those passing exams is not a difficult task.

The fees structure for aided students is very low compared to self-finance courses where I get the opportunity to study in the aided stream. It's about 20,000 for two years. You can pay it through online mode at the beginning of an academic year. And that process is also very easy to do. coming to scholarships, there are many. And I came across a scholarship that was provided to minority and BPL students which is very useful to many students. The job that you can find on campus is library work. One can work part-time in the library as there are one big library (DPM) and department libraries.

There are many cultural fests which makes the college colourful very often. And in my department, there is pegasus which is a literary fest that's totally student-oriented. Both fun and knowledge related tasks happen in pegasus. They are conducted in Feb of every year. the availability of books in the DPM library is immense and also computer facilities also available to search for a book in the library. Sports is upon students interests and extracurricular activities are really good. Clubs- there is a literary club for English literature students where they conduct dramas every year at the end of Feb which was very popular.
