Remarks

MGM quota and on the JEE main basis and direct interview basis. Admissions also available affiliate by AICTE AND AKTU approved. The course curriculum was designed for better understanding and training of students for the industry but with the passing time, there should be changes in the syllabus. New changes and techniques should be included. The faculty of my college was very helpful they always helped students in any aspect of their career as well as personal advice. The faculty tries their best to make students understand everything and the teaching method was very good. The faculty is highly qualified and many personal experiences to share with us for better understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Compulsory industrial training of 4 months in the 2nd year of course. The college organized interviews with many reputed hotels for the training and stipend depend on the hotel. For eg., JW Marriott gives a stipend of Rs. 5000 to the trainee and Taj give a stipend of Rs 1250 to the trainees. The internship was to work in 4 core departments of the hotel and learn from that certificate was also given along with an appreciation certificate from each department according to the performance. There was 2 choice for selection either sit in the college campus as college coordinate with properties or walk-in interviews where you yourself call the property and ask them if you can join and then crack the interview. The term exams were regularly conducted. 1:35 was the faculty: student ratio.

Internships Opportunities

5

Chose Electrical and Electronics based on the current growth trends in the same field. Classrooms are divided equally for the greater reachability of the students. Faculties are well qualified with some of them also bearing a doctorate degree. Teaching and concept deliverance was on par. Exams were based out of the VTU board which was pretty difficult. However, the internals conducted by the college helped us in cracking it better.

Placement Experience

5

Applied for BNMIT, DSCE, and TOCE. Dropped the admissions at BNMIT and DSCE due to branch preferences. The admission process was vigorous with the cut-off percentage being 60. From 6th-semester students were eligible to sit in the campus interviews. Many reputed companies visited like Taj, Hyatt, JW Marriott, Oberoi, and fast food companies like Burger King, McDonald's, Starbucks. Some retail companies also like reliance.80% of students get placement but lost the job because of covid. 25% still got the chance of placement and are doing the job. My plans were to do a master's in HM. So I am currently doing that.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fees for the course is very high apart from the fees you need to spend on uniforms, kits, journals and a lot of printout and many more things. As far as in the case of scholarship there was only 1 seat for the scholarship it was given to a special quota student if she/he comes under merit. Campus helped students to get good jobs and most of the students got selected for a good job but due to covid many of the students lost their jobs. College still tries to help students to get their job as faculty help students by giving information.

Campus Life

5

There were four clubs in the college that used to organize any fest under guidance. The college used to participate in the rose fest and more functions were conducted on the campus. There is a library in college and many books and researches are available in the library. There is a Facebook page of every club where work and the students doing the work are captured and posted. Sports day was also celebrated and many activities were used to be organized. Classrooms have AC and a smart class system. The labs were also very good.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel accommodates 3 students in the room with 3 beds along with a study table, chair, and an Almira. There was also a common room which was to be shared with other adjoining rooms. The meal quality was good and menu planning was also right. There was less seat in the hostel so, it was allocated according to the results and seats were divided according to reservation quota. You can easily get a rented room or PG in a nearby area like 41 C, 40 D, etc.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is of top quality. Facilities like classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, etc, available in our college are good. Facilities are easily available to students. The library is too good for anyone to sit and study for long hours. Teachers in our college are very helpful, and they are always available to help us. They plan the schedule in a very effective way. Many teachers are PhD holders. They have good knowledge of their subjects, both practical and theoretical. The course curriculum is relevant, and it mainly focuses on what industry demands.
