Katihar college of Engineering- Best Engineering college in Bihar.

The admission process in this college is, you have to apply for JEE MAINS exam. And appear in the exam. Then you have to fill UGEAC form on BCECE official website. After that, you have to choose college and branch in online counseling. You have to carry a good rank on the UGEAC merit list to get admission to this college because this college is on the top list of colleges in Bihar Engineering. If you want computer Science in this college you have to carry at least under 500 in the unreserved category of the UGEAC merit list. I prefer this college to others because in this college all types of faculties are available which one needs to study in Engineering.

I chose this course because there was a great scope in Computer science and Engineering. Lots of jobs offered in various companies easily as compared to core branches. The faculties are very kind, supportive, and helpful in nature. Despite the Covid-19 situation they teach students through online classes and solve their doubts very patiently. The faculty to student ratio is quite good that is 1:25. There are 2 term exams are held every year. A total of 8 term exams or semesters in this 4-year course. The teachers help students to get good marks in the term exams. The term exams are not so hard to pass but need some effort to pass them.

It is one of the best colleges in Bihar as a view for placement in the CSE branch. Placement in this college is increasing year by year. In earlier days placement cell was not so active in this college as compared to present days. The placement cell of our college is very supportive and helps students to grab their jobs as they want. Companies like TCS, HPCL, NHAI, TURBO, etc. come to this college for the recruitment of students. Final year or 8th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. The highest package offered is 12 LPA. And the average salary package is 4 LPA.

There is approximately 80000 fess for the 4 year course. The fees of this college are very low because it comes under the government. Engineering colleges so only tuition fees and registration fees are taken from us and there is no extra charges like development fess or anything else. There are no college personal scholarships but there are government scholarships like e-kalyan, Saksham etc. These types of scholarship schemes helps students of lower income families. They provide us best facilities in that low cost which is enough as a mark of good college.

The infrastructure of this college is very good and safe for students. The Seniors are also very helpful and supportive to their juniors. The environment of the college is not like college but it's like you're studying in your home. A big library present in the academic building where lots of books present and also you can sit there and read books also in a very quiet environment. There are more than 30 classrooms and various types of Laboratories are present on the beautiful campus. Apart from studies, the college also provides events and programs for entertainment for students. Annual Function, Annual Sports held every year in which students participate and exhibit their talent in these events.
