A Perfect Balance of Quality Education and Extracurricular Activities

My elder sister had graduated from the same college and I had heard from her that the environment, education, and faculties are of the highest standards. It would be a great place for me to expand my opportunities and be open to new experiences outside my comfort zone. She was totally right. I had one of my best years in this college and I have met a few of the brightest of minds disguised as my faculties as well as my seniors.

The course curriculum is apt to provide the basics of all the skills required in managing a business or as basic life skills but what makes the course better are the faculties. And the faculties here are not just focused on completing courses. They invest a lot of time in encouraging healthy debates and discussions in their classes related to the CA to keep everyone well acquainted with it. Their way of teaching is more of preparing the students to go out into the world and not just how to get good grades on exams.

I had completed my internship with an automobile dealer Anaal Honda. I had completed my project on “Consumer satisfaction with reference to Honda Activa at Anaal Honda, Bhilai” where I had taken responses from various consumers through a questionnaire prepared for the research.

Rungta College holds an annual event named “Placementnama” which is solely based on the purpose of bringing esteemed companies to Bhilai. It is an open campus event and even students of different colleges in Bhilai often wait for this event to apply for a job. There are 40-50 companies that visit the campus and the duration of the event is usually 3 days depending on the interview processes of the company. The package and job criteria are all dependent on the course that we are applying for so they aren’t standardized. And it also depends on the student’s own capabilities if they’re able to grab an opportunity or not. After completing my BBA the highest pay I was offered was 3.6LPA as HR recruitment coordinator in 2017.

The fee structure is feasible and totally worth it with regards to the life and education provided on the campus. Rungta Campus holds Placementnama for student placements and many companies pay their visit every year and take many students for jobs. I had interviewed for 5 companies and I got the privilege of being selected in all 5 of them. Faculties were of great help in prepping the students.

Life at the campus was an upgrade from school. The focus on studies hadn’t been compromised and yet we were introduced to a variety of extracurricular activities. We had an annual fest called “Vyom” where students from different colleges used to come together and compete in various fun competitions and challenges. It is a 3-day event and the college turns into a carnival for those three days. Even faculties are part of certain clubs and so it all just makes everything fun. We also used to have a “Weekly activity” this basically meant that once in a week all the students of BBA would come together to conduct activities and the team with the best scores would win. This was a really great initiative in increasing the creativity of students for coming up with challenges to host the event. The best part of it was that it was important to choose an activity which is fun as well as knowledgeable for management students. So it used to raise the bars for all the students.
