Remarks

It's a good University if you are interested to groom yourself. Most of the activities are programmed and performed by students only which allow them to grow. Placements are stronger in comparison to any other private colleges. Faculties and management are strict regarding curriculum and other unacceptable behaviour. It provides both NCC and NSS which gives it an extra edge in comparison to others.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Psychology in Sharda is one of its strength subjects. All the facilities are either about to have their PHD or already received. Exams include practical exams, viva, midterm and end term. Exams and rules are really strict when it comes to academics and related things.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship is available at our university. Students need to submit their CV to the placement cell once any firm or company approaches for internship or stipends. Even teachers personally help to get these opportunities. I recently got an internship from my university for two months as a summer internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our placement cell is the strength of Sharda University. Most of the student join only because of a high number of job opportunity after joining Sharda. The percentage of students getting a job is quite higher than in other universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are usually not hiked without any prior information. The scholarship is provided to the best 3-4 student in a batch. Usually, it should satisfy the criteria of 75% attendance in every subject along with 9.5 or above CGPA in each semester. I have been felicitated by the scholarship. College provides college exchange programs to scholarly students too if any student is interested in it.

Campus Life

4

The campus is like any regular campus. Most of the students are from different countries, getting to know their culture and befriending them is fun. Those who are interested in different activities can join clubs where they will get a copious amount of opportunity to improve themselves. We do have an annual fest know as Chorus which is three days fest.

Interview Experience

3.5

One round of PI was there. It was simple as I already prepared basics of psychology for the same. It differs for different subject options. A student should be above distinction and must clear SU entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course structure was well designed and updated with the ongoing preparations of government exams which helped me alot in my preparations as everywhere polity is something that is a mandatory one and hence the curriculum plus the overall teaching pattern the timing of exams and the level of difficulty was moderate if someone had attended all the classes, plus the marking scheme was a bit hard and other aspects like attendance was also included, however there's no such compulsion that one must attend the classes this was only applicable for sessionals

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Event management seemed interesting but it's more work and less pay on every post The college did not provide any intenships or work so we had to do it on our own The college claims to give more practical learning and that's a lie they do not care about practical they just care about passing in the exams and attendance

Reviewed on Nov 5, 2024(Enrolled 2022)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the course can be divided into three parts as this is a 3-year course. Every year has 2 semesters and the course in total has 6. The first semester is usually spent on subjects like understanding psychology and other non related subjects like AI. The first-year curriculum could have been put to better use instead of teaching us nonrelated subjects as that cut off the rhythm that could have been building and when we came to 2nd year the first year looked like a complete waste. The 2nd year comparatively was better and more productive the curriculum rhythm was better and as we slid into 3rd year the curriculum became more productive and helpful.
