Remarks

The admission process in ICFAI is conducted in two steps. First is the entrance exam called IBSAT which generally takes place in December every year (or even a good score in CAT/ NMAT helps). Candidates who are selected in the entrance level are called for GD/PI and it was compulsory to visit the ICFAI Hyderabad campus for this process (pre pandemic). All the document verification takes place on the day of GD/PI and candidates are allotted campus according to their performance in GD/PI. The selection process gets completed by February end and the classes begin from the month of may. IBS Mumbai is the ideal college for students who didn't manage to get a seat in IIM's or equivalent institutes. It offers quality education and the best part is the ROI. The only disadvantage I would mention is the huge batch size which makes it difficult for the faculty to focus on individual growth. I preferred IBS Mumbai looking at the consistency in placements, ROI and decent fee structure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I've chosen PGPM as we know that this is a course which prepares you for the upcoming challenges in the corporates. Not only academically, but MBA/PGPM is equally effective in building self confidence and an attractive personality. In these 2 years, one gets to acquire leadership qualities and the habit of multi tasking. The faculty in IBS Mumbai is quite friendly. Although it is a huge batch of students, yet faculty for each subject and activity is well distributed. Even during the online sessions, the creativity and patience of faculty has made concepts easier for students. The term exams consists both internal and external marks in 40:60 ratio which are of moderate to difficult levels.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The companies who come for internship are JP Morgan, Aditya Birla, Jio Creatives, Future Group, etc. Most of them provide stipend and most of the roles for interns include sales. For marketing, scope and exposure is highest as compared to other specializations. The students are required to prepare a report summarizing the learnings during internship and on the last day of internship, students are required to present the same in front of a panel. This entire process comprises credits.

Placement Experience

4

The final placement process generally begins from the month of October when the final year students are promoted to the 4th semester. Some of the best companies who visits the campus for placements are JP Morgan, deloitte, cogxinia, ICICI Bank, etc. The highest packages offered is around 12 lac (domestic) and the average is 6.5 lac (domestic).

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete fee for PGPM in IBS Mumbai is 8 lac, which is an average amount for this course. Also, the institute provides scholarships based on student's performance and semester CGPA. The Summer Internship Program over here remains for 3 months starting from march to April. I got internship in an outsourcing company (in campus) with stipend but it was target based.

Campus Life

4.5

IBS Mumbai conducts its annual fest, Konflux, every year in the month of January. There are a no. Of clubs in the college and Konflux is celebrated with the joint efforts of all the clubs. The clubs included core clubs on finance (kautilya), marketing (markophilia), HR, Operations, writer's club, creative club, dancer's club, Singer's club, etc. Besides this, the college also owns a discipline committee (SDCC) and a college magazine group (Manthan).

Interview Experience

5

The topic for my GD during admission was "The importance of patience in business and corporates". In the personal interview round, I was lucky enough to find a very humble panel and it went smooth. The questions were based on my previous qualifications, family, interests and basic concepts. ICFAI also provides free classes for preparation of GD/PI. Once I got selected in IBSAT, I started attending those classes and the classes covered all aspects of GD/PI rounds.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
