SNAP entrance test, score 150+, opted for the college as the courses offered here met my aspirations. I liked the first visit to the campus during admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
Perfect mix of Technology & Management. The course curriculams were very industry friendly and up to date. Sameer Saxena had designed most of the courses. Upon joining the industry we could relate how apt were the course structures we were offered during our study here.
Internships Opportunities
Yes to selected students. It was merit, reservation and financial condition based stipend. The amount and type vary based on selection criteria.
Placement Experience
Placements were a mix of national (65%), local (20%) and international (15%) locations. Avg salary was 6 Lakh CTC. National placements were mostly in zero slot which started during end of 3rd semester and continued till whole of 4th semester. While international placements were very less but good locations offered like Dubai, Ghana & Shangai.
Fee Structure And Facilities
MBA full time from such a reputed university will definitely be expensive. However if it is compared with other similar level Tier I colleges, it was on the lower side. For 2009-11 batch we had paid 5.65 lakhs as the total tuition, exam, library, non veg buffet mess and hostel charges. Book bank cost was extra.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Yes to selected students. It was merit, reservation and financial condition based stipend. The amount and type vary based on selection criteria.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was M: 55 :: F: 45. Computer lab facility was there with all the required operating machine, software and LAN connectivities. However the lab was often closed depending upon the lab assistant's preferable timings which should not happen in such a reputed college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel quality was just awesome. I will rate 9 out of 10. Rooms were triple share with wifi signals. Latrin was small. 1st year boys hostel campus is 1km walking distance from main college campus. Rooms lighted and spacious with lifts. Lift functionality was little unpredictable. We had a very good warden named Col. C. V. Mohan.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is growing. We get regular invites from the alumni coordinators for the annual reunions. Its perhaps the only college to my knowledge which organizes official reunions at multiple Indian cities to cater maximum participation by their alumnis working at diff locations. Awesome plan by Dr. R. Raman again.
Exam Structure
CGPA based weighted scoring in a scale of 1 to 4. 2.8 score is pass mark which I feel is quite a challenging score. There was a lady staff in Exam dept who at times seemed to be manipulating the scores submitted by the external faculties, not sure if that was intentional or unintentional.
