My College Review

SCIT stood up to mark with the standard of older symbiosis institutes in terms of academics and the placement offered. The B-School transformed my life and the way I approach a problem. Institute is a perfect amalgamation of academics and extracurricular activities leading to the overall development of the student. I would definitely recommend Symbiosis among other top B-Schools simply for the campus life and some particular faculty members.

Course Structure is pretty awesome and it was pretty updated as per the latest advancements in the corporate world, specifically the future of tech industry and different job profiles being adopted by corporates to tackle the rapidly changing corporate landscape. The exams were evaluated on the CGPA which considers external, Internal Exams, SIP Report, etc.

The final placement of my batch was comparatively better for my batch. A good number of reputed companies visited specifically for the analytics area. The highest package offered was 33 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Summer placement for the internship process is also good with a decent stipend amount. Cognizant, Genpact, EY, were some of the top players which recruited from our batch.

Annual fee for my MBA program was around 5.6 lacs per annum, which is on par with other B-Schools. I opted for this institute in particular because of their advanced IT infra and qualified management and teaching staff. In total, I paid around 11 lacs for the two-year program.

SCIT has all the required facilities. We have state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with Wi-Fi, projectors, etc., facilities. We have 11 Bloomberg terminals. We have one central mess, and the quality of food is good because the mess is operated by the students only.

Especially, the hostel is awesome. I think our college has the best hostel among all IIMs. Hostel rooms were offered on a single occupancy basis and we never had any issues regarding the accommodation.

Admission is on the basis of SNAP exam scores. SCIT conducts counseling around and invites the students on the basis of performance in the SNAP exam. This round of selection process included a written ability test and a Personal Interview. Overall the admission process was pretty smooth.

Faculty members are good, especially for the IT and analytics stream. Every concept is taught based on case studies. It's mandatory for professors of every subject to invite industry experts so that we can relate theoretical concepts to practical scenarios. In that way, we get industry exposure.
