Remarks

The first thing that attracted me to IBS Mumbai is Case-Based Learning which helps to think critically and solve problems. It also helps to improve communication skills. IBS Mumbai has many clubs which mainly focus on student development through domain-specific activities. I preferred IBS Mumbai over others because it provides a 14 weeks summer internship program whereas others provide 8 weeks summer internship program. Internship programs are necessary for corporate exposure and it brings an improvement in skills of candidates. The admission process was smooth. It started with filling application form, going to the Hyderabad campus for the selection process i.e Group discussion and personal interviews. The admission process starts in February.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The PGPM course is divided into 4 semesters. First-year has 2 general semesters where subjects are the same for all students and second-year has domain-specific subjects where students are required to choose electives as per their domain. Regular class assessments are taken by faculties. The teaching method is student-friendly where teachers encourage class participation to increase the efficiency of lectures.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

College provides internship opportunities for its students for 3 months. Some companies offer stipends but not all. Some of the companies that came for internships at the campus are ACC limited, DHL, Amul, Outlook magazine, Aditya Birla, Jio creative labs, Philip Capital, Digitx, JP Morgan, IIFL securities, Cisco, and many more. The internships were offered for all the domains marketing, HR, Finance, Operations etc.

Placement Experience

During Semester 3, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies visiting campus for final placements are JP Morgan, ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Group, PWC, Zomato, PWC, DHL express, Wipro, Amul, CIsco, Airtel, and many more. The highest package offered at the national level is 15lakhs and at the international level is 50 lakhs. The average CTC is 6 lakhs. In 2020, 95% of the students were placed through campus placements. Over 3100 students are placed as of April 2021.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for PGPM Course at IBS Mumbai for 2 years is Rs 8,11,000 which is to be paid in 6 instalments as per the fee schedule. IBS Mumbai provides merit scholarships. The college has partnered with various public sector and private sectors for financial assistance. The college also provides financial assistance through provide digital internships to college students.

Campus Life

3.5

Several student activities are conducted at IBS Mumbai such as organizing seminars, publishing in-house magazines, organizing guest lectures. There are many clubs and committees in college which organize quizzes and debates, conducts online domain-specific activities where we get to learn a lot of things. IBS Mumbai has a library with an extensive collection of over 28000 books.

Interview Experience

5

The selection process at IBS includes group discussions and interviews. My GD topic was "Is India ready for a cashless economy. The following are some of the interview questions asked during the interview: Tell something about yourself. Why you want to study at IBS. Why you want to do PGPM. What were your favourite subjects during graduation. What are the 3 golden rules of accounts. Tell me about your strengths and weakness. What was your GD topic and what points did you put forwards during GD. The selection process is quite simple. Just be confident and honest. IBS provides mock sessions for preparing for interviews and GD's.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
