Opted for this college as it was the only architecture college close to my home. They conduct a small interview and a test.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is fine. Improvements need to be done to include some important subjects as well. There are a number of foreign languages to chose from. There is a foreign language day, in which the university observes events based on different countries. Also there are some courses on personality development as well. These personality development courses vary from semester to semester.
Internships Opportunities
College, does not provide any internship for architecture course. Although for relations with teachers can help, as they are usually in contact with people in the field.
Placement Experience
Almost everyone gets placed, but on their own, or with the help from teachers. So, it's all up to the student, in case of this course. One year internship is mandatory to complete this course, and the students have to either find a relevant job on their own. Or they seek help from the teachers.
College Events
Sports event called sangathan is organised every year and there is an active participation from the students. An yearly fest is also held, with small events. And there's a foreign language day and a convocation. The participation is limited to the college students only.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is Rs.90,000 per semester. This is relatively expensive, as there is a hostel fee and Mess fee as well. Being at a distance from nearby cities, commuting can be expensive as well. There are colleges that offer a much lower fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides a scholarship to the students scoring above 90%. But you have to maintain a decent cgpa to keep it going on.
Campus Life
Campus life has lot of restrictions. Gender ratio would be 50:50 because of the diversity in courses. A number of students in the campus are from different states and some even from different countries. Extracurricular events are what the college lacks, because of the campus still being young
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are small. Just enough for two people to fit in, who have to share it. Both AC and non AC rooms are available. No PG's are available nearby, because of the college being in a remote location. Mess food is just average. No non-veg and you can find it unhygienic at times.
Alumni/Alumna
The college does not have many alumni because of being a new college. Seniors are helpful with assignments and competitions.
Exam Structure
In architecture, the students are marked upon their assignments, and these assignments are as important as the exams themselves. So, all nighters are common, to cope up with the assignments and the course. Days are usually hectic, spent working on different assignments.
Faculty
There are both experienced faculty as well as newcomers. But all faculty members are pass outs from prestigious colleges. The overall learning experience is okay, because of the pressure due to attendance that the students have to maintain. Teachers are helpful and most of them would help you out.
