KEAM ..Actually I wanted to become an Cricketer but time was not my side so continued in studies and Planned to join Civil Engineering at the nearest college of My house

Course Curriculum Overview :

I would say Course curriculum is not bad as i was the Kerala University Student ,so our curriculum was little tough to study and practice only one chance in a year was there for back papers so studies become burden in this kind a criteria/curriculum so i would like to see some small changes in curriculum Kerala University.

Internships Opportunities :

As i was civil engineering student, in our department internship was not there so no stipend experience I guess intern ship is only in medical courses my college do not have Any of The medical courses.

Placement Experience :

Civil Engineering placements was not there, Placements were there for computer science engineering student and i don't know the present placement cell details because i had completed as a first Batch of our college so i don't know the present situation of my department.

College Events :

We had celebrated onam, eid, christmas, our college day and all years two main program is organized by our college, Ameersha Football, Tournament, MESMERA (COLLEGE DAY FUCTION) these two are the main celebrations of our college and almost 3000-5000 students participates every year including nearby engineering colleges students from all the colleges participates as per our college side invitation.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure is based on our university decision for all the engineering and medical colleges in kerala by syndicates (Deans) fee structure for management seats is less than 5 lakh for total course (tuition fee or course fee alone) and For NRI's there is a small amount of change apart from tuition fee ,hostel ,stay ,mess fees concludes less than 10 lakh (whole expenses).

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Ya loan facility was there but i never took a loan for my college fee apart from that our college management helped financially through our government scheme for merit reservation students.

Campus Life :

Campus life was just on the developing stage in all sections when i completed my course whether we take in cultural activities or sports activities all were just started at that year GENDER RATIO WAS 60:40 M:F respectively because mechanical department is always full of Male Students.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities is awsum, Ground for cricket, football, Badminton court, Swimming pool(nearby Lake), Tv room, Prayer Room, Big Mess hall 7.3 storey, 8.25 bathrooms and Toilets(both) so hostel is just awesome ragging is not there in our hostel, and nobody drinks alcohol inside the hostel strictly prohibited from our management side.

Alumni/Alumna :

No i always missed the alumni so i do not have any experience regarding alumni and we were the first batch of our college so no college seniors were there at my time.

Exam Structure :

I would say Course curriculum is not bad as i was the Kerala University Student so was little tough to study and practice only one chance in a year was there for back papers so studies become burden in this kind a criteria so i would like to see some small changes in Kerala University.

Faculty :

Faculty standard was good all were highly graduates with an teaching field experience of at-least 5 years all the faculties were talented in their respective subjects as per kerala university norms only M.tech Graduate can teach in b.tech college so my college faculties were all M.Tech graduates.

The Semester exams are tough. Electronics and biomedical engineering is a growing field that offers high chances to students in the future. I like how technology and medicine are totally different and we can join this way.

Placement Experience:

Actually placement cell is a bit week the company's is not that reputed and they offer monthly salary of 12k to 15k. Probably some startup companies. And many students choose that and work for 1 or 2 years to gain experience and then they apply for better opportunities.

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
