Remarks

The college is good. It has a library, assembly room, canteen, clean classrooms, hygienic washrooms, it has a separate room for moot Court. For admission one should have to clear entrance and then according to the given date by Calcutta University, he/she have to go to the college consult with the office member the will provide a form and they will help you in filling the form and other things. This college is close to my residence and it's a good college the faculty is good and the staff members are also good. I filled my form through www.caluniv.com . This is a website of CU and they provide the form for BALLB under the same University every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course because it's my aim to become a Judge and for that, I have to qualify in law and have to gather as much knowledge as I can. The faculty is really nice they always help us whenever we are in need. The student ratio in my class is approx 2:1 the boy's ratio is almost half of the girls in ratio. The faculty is highly qualified. Most of them are PhD holders. They explain the topic on the board and they give enough examples and try to relate the topic with our day-to-day life incidents so that we can remember it easily. Apart from semester exams and internals, our college conducts monthly tests. The questions usually were taken from a 10years Question paper. It's not that difficult to pass but if you want to score good marks you have to read carefully.

Placement Experience

4

After completing the course they become eligible for campus placements. Companies like a rose valley, a pearless hospital, and many more made quite good numbers of offers. Almost 80% of students are recruited from this college. After the degree, my plan is to prepare for Judiciary and simultaneously I will practice under an advocate.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission, they clear everything thing about fees, and then they will not ask for more money. For the 2019 batch it's 2,25,000 it changes every year like for the 2020 batch it's 2,35,000 but they take this money quarterly when you will get the admission you will also get a thin book in which the quarter amount the time everything will be mentioned. I got aikyashree scholarship, it's a West Bengal government program for minorities.

Campus Life

4

In our college after the new batch enters the new batch gets a freshers party organized by the college. They also conduct fests. The library is filled with enough books of different authors. There are enough benches for the students, the classrooms are quite big. The classrooms are properly ventilated. Sports like football and extracurricular activities like quiz, poster designing, debate, moot Court competition, seminars are frequently conducted. There is no such groups, or clubs or website.

Placements are given. But not what students dreamed of. Everyone gets opportunity to sit on interview and get placed. To perform good in interview our university has included boot camps in our routine which helps in improving our interview skills. Students in their last year get offers for jobs from university but students are not getting job offers as they excepted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.A.LLB(Hons.) because I want to have knowledge of law because laws form the basis of society. Moreover, I had an Arts Background therefore, it was a good combination for me to explore and go according to my desired path of career. The count of faculty members of IILS is an approximation of 20-30 teachers and the students each semester is near about 70-100. The teachers are truly well versed in their respective subjects and they're immensely knowledgeable and friendly, they try hard to make us understand in the easiest manner. But the only problem is that the faculties are not permanent, it keeps on changing. The term examinations were always on time except for the lockdown time but this was also managed smoothly within time. In order to know the difficulties I would share a fact and i.e., when I took admission in my Institute there was a total number of 140 students in my semester but no sooner than the first exam held half of them failed and now we're 70 of us.
