Sree krishna collage Guruvayoor is a aided collage under Guruvayoor Dheevasam board . As the college is under Calicut University Our admission process started by the last of June in 2020. The admiration process were completed by November 2nd. Our college covers an area of 36 acres and is situated on top of a hill with immense natural beauty and rich biodiversity. Our college has quite developed infrastructure facilities and a clean campus . It also offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The only hard thing I came across was the transportation problem as the college isn't situated in the highway we have to walk over 1km to the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I am a student intrested in business field I took B.com finance as my course for graduation . Our class started by the mid of November in online platform. Our curriculum comprises of 4 subjects for 1st semester , like Managerial Economics , business Management studies , 2 English combinations and a second language. Our Faculty : student ratio is 1:35 . Faculty in our college are rich with teaching experience and a common qualification of faculty is M.Com and NET. While some faculty has PhD and m Phil .
Placement Experience
I didn't know much about the campus placement . But I think that our collection doesn't provide much campus placement opportunities. But my plan is to crack CAT and get into any IIM's to do my master's.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college doesn't offer much special scholarships other than a scholarship for sanskrit students . But provides us assistance to all the state and national scholarships. The total fees I paid for the year was Rs 6020.
Campus Life
Due to covid pandemic we only had 13 days of offline classes .So the only college programme I attended was collage fest organised by the students. But as I am a NSS volunteer I got chance to participate in various offline competitions by NSS. Our college has a main library and various small subject wise libraries. The main library holds various books on general usage like general knowledge books , story books ,journals, magazines etc . While subject wise libraries holds books which concentrates on the deep studies of these subjects. Our college have 2 units of NSS , NCC followed by small clubs and various students political parties like SFI , KSU , ASF and ABVP .
