Course Curriculum Overview
This study is fully focused on fisheries sector like export, capture, culture, research, projects. Starting from the basics of fisheries and fish and other marine and river living organisms. This also includes processing of the marine organisms like fish, shrimp etc. This course will give a deep knowledge about the whole fisheries and enable us to be a better person in the field. Knowledge gained during IV, AIT, Practical exposure, In farm training, Industrial training will help us to learn more.
Placement Experience
No private companies visit our college or university for the placement. There are a lot of jobs available for the Fisheries graduates including government and private jobs. For government jobs we have to undergo the exams. For private jobs like industries, farms etc we need to have support of the senior students and staff.
College Events
Inter - university sports meet Inter collegiate for cultural programme Quiz programs on particular days Sports day, College day, Hostel day, Cultural day. These functions are conducted by their respective department secretaries along with the help of the faculty of the respective department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Both online and offline payments acceptable. As the selection of the candidates is based on merit system no additional fees had to be paid as the institution is fully controlled by the state government. There is a full transparency regarding the fees structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship available. The process are taken by the college management itself. But there is no scholarship for the students whose parents are in government jobs.
Campus Life
There are equal number of male and female students in the campus. The institution is always try to master the students not only in studies but also in sports, extracurricular activities. The institution always look upon students talent. Identify their talent and send them to competitions like district and state competition in every department like sports, speech, essat writing, poetry etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are available for the whole set of students. Hostel fees are collected during the semester fees may be around Rs. 1000 for a semester. 3 students per room is followed here. Purified RO water. Seperate dinning hall etc.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very much useful for the students who are willing to join in the private sector. And also encouraging and guiding the students to government jobs.
Admission
I got the admission by merit basis. The date must be announced by the University during August. Admission process regards checking of the certificates which will happen on the counselling day and at the joining date also. No management quota out there.
Faculty
Most of the staff's are having a minimum qualification of PG in their respective department. There are also doctorates. Majority of the faculty are having industrial exposure like processing industries with that knowledge they are very crisp at their content. Their delivery of subject core is that much easier for the students to understand. Age of the faculty range from 30 to 60.
