MIT- A heaven

This is one of the most privilege colleges in India. Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam did his Aerospace Engineering in MIT. There are so many great alumni from MIT who will help the current generation students too. You can get some big shots contacts in the field of aerospace. MIT is different from other colleges. Students can get lots of freedom and staffs are so friendly. Placements are very good. Each and every year, many students are getting high packaged jobs in IT field or the core companies. If you choose CSE, ECE and IT in MIT, your life is settled.

I chose this course because I m passionate for it. Faculties are good enough for developing the innovative students. Faculties are very friendly as well as strict in academics. Two Internal assessment test contribute 25 marks each ( internals contribute 50 marks totally) and end semester examinations contribute 50 marks. The students have to get more than 50 marks on combining internals and send semester examinations to clear a subject. Internal assessments will be moderate and end semester examinations will be too tough. It's hard to get even 60% in the end semester examinations for the toppers too.

For internship, students are eligible from third year. For job, students are eligible during the final year. So many big companies will come and pick the students. Amazon, VISA, L & T, Caterpillar, Citicorp, Athena healthcare, Walmart, Tcs digital, Accenture, Infosys, ONGC, Cognizant and so many great companies will come for the placements. The highest package I ever heard is 40 LPA which is offered by Adobe and average package will be around 8-9 lakhs. The students with more than 7. 5 cgpa can get placed. I wish to pursue higher studies after getting the degree.

The students body organization of MIT organise one intra college (shivaranjani) and one inter college (Mitafest) cultural event everywhere. The students are very friendly and genuine people. MIT library has so many good books starting from the oldest edition to upto date books. There are so many clubs. The main three clubs are NSS, YRC and NSO. NSO organize sports event. The students have achieved so many things in the sports. There are so clubs like black crew club for dance and MIT variety club for performance and entertainment.

For day scholars, the fees will be around 78k for four years. For hostellers, it will be around 4 lakhs for four years. There are so many scholarships available for the students. FFE is a scholarship which offers 40k per year starting from the first year. Students can get intern from top companies from the third year itself. Many people get high packaged jobs through campus interviews and few will be considering for the post graduates. I m planning to do higher studies.

I'm a day scholar. But I know about hostel life too. It's a awesome one. Water supply for 24*7. The students can get some good quality food. The students feel very secured to stay in the MIT hostel.

No. For the admission, they focus only on the 12th marks ( cutoff score - physics, chemistry and mathematics). If you get more than 195 cutoff score, you can definitely expect a seat in MIT. The admission process involves only the Tamil Nadu engineering counseling. My cutoff score is 195 and I belong to MBC. So, I got an Aeronautical engineering seat in MIT.
