Remarks

I like computer related works so I chose this course. This course includes everything like programming languages, compiler designing, operating systems, etc. Everything is better but as there is always some space for improvements. The practical implementation starts in 3rd year which should be done in 2nd year for better understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are very helpful with everything apart from studies as well. They are very knowledgeable and try to solve the problems faced by students. We have several groups for all other activities including coreography, cinema club, software development group etc. Which help us to understand the real world problems and solve them. These groups are monitored by the faculty members so everything is organised.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 62000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

About 80-90% of the students were placed this year with the highest package of 19LPA, the lowest package of 2Lacs and avg package of 4-5 Lacs. Top recruiters were Microsoft, infosys, IBM, Capegemini, DXC etc.

College Events

There are two annual big fests in college LAKSHYA and GYANOTSAV. Gyanotsav is more cultural and cognizance is more directed towards technical stuff. There are several small fests like tech quiz, dance, singing, music night,etc.

The absolute truth about SIRT

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students will be getting placement notification, there is an app called pod AI to monitor your placement companies and how much you applied, and your eligibility for company, if you are from electrical branch you will recieve polycab , EXL , a1 fence , solar square . There was about 10 companies visited but absolutely 0 opportunity in IT companies if you are from electrical branch. Average branch package is 2.4 lacks per annum About 50% of students got placed My plans after degree is to go for off campus opportunity

Campus Pl start from the 7th semester with good companies visiting for core branches popular recruiters are tafe eichers, CG power, Disa. Cognizant and Infosys for the IT roles also. Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed by the college is slightly old in comparision to iits and nits but it is better than most of the remaining colleges. But the curriculum could be improved.The curriculum is based on more theoretical approach and less practical approach for some branches.The teaching methodology is good . Teachers use smart boards if they need. The frequency of the exams and msts are good but they also include demo which makes it hectic.

OCT Bhopal is outstanding!!

Placement Experience:

Highesht package so far has been of 34 lakhs per annum and average though is 6 LPA. This average is considering all departments as for pur department it is of 10 LPA. Wipro, Amazon, Tisco and Mindtree are some companies out of lets say 50 odd which shows up every year. My plan is to do an MBA program and i am preparing for CAT too.
