Entrance Preview :

Kerala engineering entrance examination for the year 2010. I've opted for a management seat which was shortlisted on the basis of entrance rank and marks in 12th grade.

Internships Opportunities :

No, As per my knowledge , no internships are provided and even if provided don't expect a stipend from such a miserly management.

Placement Experience :

Good for other branches. Core companies not recruiting. Just as in any other college in Kerala. Most of the students got placed in IT or related companies. No automobile or mechanical companies visited for hiring.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, But no support at all in co-curricular activities. The toppers in school is provided with some scholarship I guess that too if we provide a salary certificate of our family showing that we are poor.

Exam Structure :

Exams and labs where OK to some extend. But it was the assignments that took a toll on us. Even the lab records where hectic as we needed 2 copies for each laboratory subjects. It was tiresome. No excuses were entertained on the same by the faculty. The internal marks were also a tool for the faculty to punish or threaten.

Admission :

I saw the ad on a leading newspaper. Applied it through the form obtained from the corporate office at Kochi. Was shortlisted on the basis of the entrance rank and marks obtained in 12th grade. Luckily there was a preference according to the syllabus studied in 12th grade. I studied in an ICSE school.

Placement Experience:

Students can avail placenta from the 7th semester where a lot of companies are available. I don't know about the highest package but all of them are pretty decent. Most of the packages are IT and sales.

Actually placement cell is a bit week the company's is not that reputed and they offer monthly salary of 12k to 15k. Probably some startup companies. And many students choose that and work for 1 or 2 years to gain experience and then they apply for better opportunities.

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
