My college experience

I chose to attend this college because it has very experienced faculties, good facilities and placement ratio is very good. I agree the fees are a bit high but it is worth it. Also, the admission process here is quite simple, just fill the form, submit some documents, pay the deposit and you are good to go. I preferred this institution over others because my main moto was to get a good placement and PU is known for its placement. I came to know about this institution via an advertisement in different newspapers, hoardings and also the internet.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering because I am very much interested in computers and different technologies related to it and I was very curious to know more about it and that's what happened here. The faculties here and their teaching is so much easy to understand the concept and if there is any chance for doubt, then they are always available to solve that. There is a single faculty for every 30 students and each faculty here has the qualification of M.Tech and above. To test our learning various exams are held like weekly, mid-semester exams and End semester examination. Each End Semester Examination signifies the end of a semester every 6 months.

Talking about placements, students are eligible to apply for the placement in various companies from 6th semester itself. Many national and multinational companies visit the University for placement like TCS, Wipro, Cisco, L&T, Byjuse, etc. The average package a student gets here is 4.5lacs per annum and the highest package till now is around 12lacs per annum. Parul University has the record of highest placement ratio, especially in CSE department. CSE department has the ratio of 100% placement since last 5 years.

The fees here are a bit high but if we look at the overall facilities we are being provided, it is worth it. The fees structure is different for students from different quota. There is option available for payment of fees in installments. Also talking about scholarships, we are regularly updated about various scholarships offered by the government according to our eligibility. Also, Parul University has the best placement cell in the city. We are also prepared for various rounds of placement and are also guided about which company to apply. The placement ratio is above 75%.

Parul University has the largest Tech Fest in Gujarat called Projections. Many Technical and Non-technical events are held in this fest in the duration span of 2-3 days. There is also an annual fest held every year called Dhoom. Many competition like a fashion show, singing, dancing, etc is held and a live concert of the stars of Bollywood is held every year. Apart from that, we are provided with facilities like libraries on the campus. There are total of 12 libraries spread throughout the campus focusing on various fields. Various sports events are also held in the campus. The University has very large playground for outdoor sports. Various clubs are formed in the university by the students to promote different talents of the students as well as other faculty members apart from the academics.
