Entrance Preview

JEE- B.Arch: This is the Paper Two of the JEE Mains exam which is given on the same day as the JEE Offline exam in the afternoon. National Aptitude Test in Architecture or NATA. MH-AR-CET or Maharashtra Architecture Common Aptitude Test.

Internships Opportunities

My college does not really provide internship but they can help you with that you have to find internship on your own. When i did my internship i had stipend of rs,5000 which was good enough as a intern.

College Events

There are events almost in every month in the college. We celebrate dahi-handi, navratri, college gathering is very famous. Where from the teachers to students everyone takes part and many more competitions like nasa n all keep happening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees per year for the course is around INR 1.2 Lakhs. Scholarships are provided to students who need financial help. I think its little bit expensive but they provide all the necessities with that.

Admission

National Aptitude Test for architecture has garnered wide acceptance and common consensus as a national level admission test for admission to first year architecture programme. However, there are also state and university specific entrance assessments. The minimum eligibility for Bachelor of Architecture course is class 12 or equivalent exam from recognised board or university with minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks with mathematics (maths) as a compulsory subject.

My college view

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.

My college view

I got this college through cap rounds and was not my first priority , my first priority was sir JJ college and Rachana Sansad college of architecture at Mumbai and BKPS at Pune , but got this one on cap round basis as marks were less for that cutoff and also as I was not from their university.The admission process was very good and smooth all arrangements were made correct but electricity was not available for the prints and other stuff.
