Remarks

I chose this college because this college have every facilities that a pharmacy college should need. The college have a library with a good collection of books related to pharmacy. This college is affiliated to KUHS and is approved by PCI.

Course Curriculum Overview

In my opinion, the course B.pharm is one of the tough course because there are variety of subjects that we are studying. From human body to chemistry of drugs and their action, the topics that are covered is numerous. The course duration is 4 years. The syllabus was updated in 2017. We didn't get any industrial exposure from the college.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

After completing the course there are many options like starting a new Pharmacy Store or being a pharamcist in hospital or a Pharmacy. There is also job opportunities in Pharmaceutical companies.

College Events

The campus life was enjoyable. Our college have been conducting the programs and events related to festivals regularly every year. Arts day and college day have been conducted by our college. Our college have an auditorium that is used for conducting these programs.

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.

The course doesn't require any entrance exam. Eligibility is to pass plus two in science with min. of 50%. Application is through Akshaya centres. The application fee is about Rs100. Crescent college is one of the best college in Kannur that provides the course B.pharm. They also provide other pharmacy courses like D.pharm and Pharm.D.
