Remarks

I chose this college because previously I had studied in this college for diploma course for pharmacy. They offered me an opportunity to study the bachelor course in a lower fee. I joined this course directly in the second year. This college have KUHS affiliation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus have been updated recently. B.Pharm is an undergraduate degree program and it have a total of 8 semesters. In each semesters, there would be both practical and theoretical exam. End semester exams are conducted in the college itself. We didn't get enough industrial exposure.

Course Fees: INR 340000 per year

Placement Experience

The job after completing the course is mainly as a pharamcist. Usually, after completing the course, most of them works in a small pharmacy shops for gaining experience. Then they works as a pharmacist in hospitals or a large Pharmacy. We can also start our own pharamacy with a licence.

College Events

The college life was cool for me. I enjoyed a lot in the college. Out college conducts many programs related to our subjects as well as non educational programs like arts and sports day. Our college celebrates the festivals like Onam and Christmas.

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.

The course doesn't require any entrance exam. Eligibility is to pass plus two in science with min. of 50%. Application is through Akshaya centres. The application fee is about Rs100. Crescent college is one of the best college in Kannur that provides the course B.pharm. They also provide other pharmacy courses like D.pharm and Pharm.D. PG course for Pharmacy is also provided by the college i.e. M.Pharm. The college is situated in Madayipara which is one of the tourist destination of our area.
