Remarks

I chose this college because this college is one of the best college that is having the course I need. I can reach the college by a train. This college have a good atmosphere. The college is away from the main city and there is no distractions for the students regarding the sounds of the vehicles.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course b.pharm is a 4 year course and have a total of 6 semesters. We didn't get enough industrial exposure. The subjects are mainly related to preperation of medicine and studying it's effects on the human body. Each subject have theory and practical session. Usually the practical session is held afternoon. The syllabus is up to date.

The b.pharm graduated students usually go abroad for finding a job. They can start their own pharmacy after getting a licence. There are job opportunity in Pharmaceutical companies and in hospital pharmacy.

College Events

We have an active campus life. Every moments were enjoyable. Extra curricular activities are given importance in our college. Cultural fest and College day have been conducted by our college. Onam and Christmas is celebrated in our college.

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.

The course doesn't require any entrance exam. Eligibility is to pass plus two in science with min. of 50%. Application is through Akshaya centres. The application fee is about Rs100. Crescent college is one of the best college in Kannur that provides the course B.pharm. They also provide other pharmacy courses like D.pharm and Pharm.D.
