Remarks

College is very good, it has a very good atmosphere just needs to improve in the field of academics and one major problem is overall personality development of a student doesn't happen so it needs to improve.

Entrance Preview

I scored 50 in JEE MAINS Jabalpur is my hometown and I wanted to study in my hometown. Hcet is the oldest private college here and has a very good reputation so I chose Hcet.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure has a very good growth the college is affiliated to RGPV university so we are bound to follow the course structure issued by them RGPV experiments with course procedure time to time the course changes almost each and every year. Some new subjects are added as well as some are taken down the syllabus too changes time to time in each subject.

Internships Opportunities

College has a few companies in contact which can provide internship to students but not at a large scale a large group of students have to find their own way in searching for internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is good it's not the best you'll see if u compare it with big universities but it is good more than 60 percent of the students get placed every year. Tata consultancy services (TCS) has an accreditation with the college. So a large number of students get placed in it. Other companies like Zensar, persistent, Infosys, Tata motors etc also take a lot of students.

College Events

4

Hcet is good in organizing fests a technical fest is organized almost each year halcyon 2016 (tech fest) was a huge success halcyon is the fest organized by the college it is organized by the students specially 3rd and 4th year with a good number of participants from 1st and 2nd year students too. It includes both technical and cultural fests. All colleges are invited to attend the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very much feasible the tuition fees per year is around 55k. The total course fees is under 3 lakhs. So it's quite feasible for the first year college bus is compulsory the fees for the college bus is 12k. A few other places where one has to provide money is development fees, caution money and mess and hostel charge if u have opted for it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided to students who are poor and backward for students belonging to SC,ST or OBC criteria study is free for them. No tuition fees is taken from them as well as people who are poor are given a good scholarship. For students whose yearly parental income is less than 4 lakhs get a chance to fill up the FWD form. Which ensures less fees if you have done well in class 12th and if you are selected. Yes study loan facility is also offered by the college. One can consult about this calling the college office.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very good. One can enjoy the feeling of freedom in the campus. There is no restrictions in visiting places in the college. Gender ratio is fine. 60-40 (boys) would be the approximate college ratio. Parties are not organized too often but we get one in every 2 months or so. Workshops are organized on regular basis. Ethnic groups of Madhya Pradesh are dominating in the college. Where as students from various other states are too present. There is no problem for students in living with opposite gender, different ethnic groups or anything. There is a very friendly atmosphere in the college. Everyone is ready for help.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is a build in hostel separate for girls as well as boys in inside the college there are many seats in the hostel so one doesn't needs to worry about getting a seat in the hostel. There are PG's nearby if one doesn't want a hostel room Jabalpur not being a very expensive city, the PG's rental is not very high about 3-4 k for a room and 6-7 for a house/flat. Mess food is good. Unlike from other colleges mess food is really good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, alumni network is good always helpful seniors are too helpful for juniors. They often help in study related matters ragging is not totally abolished in the college but one can complain about it, if it happens serious action is taken.

Exam Structure

As the college is affiliated by Rgpv, the end sem exams are conducted when Rgpv wants it. The endsem exams are in dec-jan and in june-july. A lot of days are given as study leave for the exam. The mid semester exam is conducted by the college. 2 mid semester exams are there in one semester. Generally no study leave is given and we have 2 exams in one day.

Admission

After my JEE I had to do choice filling of the list of colleges I want my first preference was Hcet (computer science) i was lucky enough to get the branch I wanted next I had to fill the admission form i got a call from college to fill the form. I got the notification on time the administration was good.

Faculty

3

Faculty of the college is moderate we don't have the best of the faculties you'll find, but the ones we have are quite promising. Almost all of them have a master's degree. Some higher grade teachers and all Head of departments have a degree in Ph.D some teachers are not up to the mark but that can be improved.
