Remarks

I wanted to pursue B.Com LLB and BMS College was the only College providing that course in all of Karnataka. It is the first college to start this course. Moreover, I heard good things about the BMS name and it was recommended to me by a family friend.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course in interesting and up to date considering it is a legal course. In the first year, we also had case study classes every other day where recent landmark cases would sometimes be discussed. Further we have an 80-20 marks system, 20 marks assigned for internals. The faculties are helpful. Currently, the internship and placement cell is also effectively providing us with good internship opportunities for us to apply for.

Internships Opportunities

Most internship opportunities are unpaid. The process to get an internship is that an official message about the internship is passed to us, and the interested students have to apply for it by generally submitting a write up on some given topic. Afterwards, based on the write up you are informed about your selection.

College Events

2.5

Last year, our college started its own intercollegiate fest named Leviosa. Along with that, our college also conducts the BM Srinivasaiah National Moot Court Competition every year for which participants come from all over the country.

Campus Life

We share the main BMS campus with BMS Engineering and BMS Architecture colleges. We have a common sports complex, a separate law library in the law college building but if we don't find our required book or research material, we are also given the option of going to the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) library through the college. But there is no wifi access to students and the network connectivity within the campus is not great. We also have a well equipped Moot Court Hall.

Hostel Facilities

I stay in a luxury PG that had a tie up with the college. The rent for it ranges from 6500 to about 11000. It has dormitories, 2 sharing and 3 sharing rooms with attached bathtooms, 3 freshly cooked meals a day, a gym, a swimming pool, a parlour, washing machines and a lot of other facilities. They also pick and drop us from the college. Apart from that, there are other PG facilities near the college. The students can also stay at the BMS hostel which is on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chosed artificial intelligence and data science because it has a very good future.the world now is depending on ai so its very useful for me to get a job. My college and the faculties r really preparing us so well for the real world applications. But they can still improve in the teaching methods. The frequency of the exams r really very good and even the time is very efficient, it will be quite difficult but its for improvement of our practical thinking.
