Remarks

It has innovation which is an inter college completion in which different colleges participate in more than 40 events and also the college has one of the best basketball team ( both boys and girls ) . Although The canteens are not so well facilitated but the foods are very tasty. The admission process is handled in a very simple way and all the teachers are helpful . Firstly because it was near to my home along with it ..they have the best teachers for this department

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Always was a big time talkie and was very enthusiastic for interacting with people . I feel at home when I am infront of loads of people. The teachers are the best in this department . They are very helpful and friendly and are there for the students when needed . Always motivate the students to do what they are interested in but also a bit strict when required . All the teachers are highly qualified and they have passed their NET exams with very good ranks . . The teacher teach us the old school way with the boards and chalks but sometimes even a projector is used for the presentation. The students are given enough encouragement to complete the presentation single handedly. The exams both internal and external are a big deal in this college and also are taken strictly

Placement Experience

2.5

Though they don't give any special placement, they give a life orientation program for everyone especially the final year students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Since it's a private college the fees structure are preferably high but there are special scholarships for students of lower classes and also catholic students. A few have got some good recommendations from the college in their field of interest

Campus Life

4.5

The life at campus is very lively especially during at events be at inter college events like innovation and taverna trophy or inter college competitions like sports day and Inscape. The library is filled with all the types of books you need . Although the librarian may seem strict but she is amongst the sweetest lady when you know her The college official website and also NSS unit and NCC unit all are under the student council guided by one teacher

Interview Experience

4.5

There was no group discussion round since I took the admission pretty late but a personal interview was taken by the head of the department. She was very welcoming and also asked why would I want to join this college or to be particular in this department ? And my marks in both class 10 and 12 . She also asked why was I interested in Mass communication and journalism . Just be confident and tell whatever you feel at the moment Don't giggle or laugh and also get a brief idea about the department

However, our batch wasn't given any internship/placement opportunity. After getting the degreez I pursued my master's in english from Shri Shikshayatan college in Kolkata under the University of Calcutta

More than 200 companies offer jobs every year to students. the highest package is 40 kpm and the average is 30k pm. 60% of the students get placements. I plan on attaining a masters degree on the same after graduation.
