Silicon institute of technology Bhubaneswar (not the best,not the worst either)

The classes are up to date. The course are always completed before exams. The placements are also good. It has a good reputation among all the colleges in Odisha. The location of the college is also good. The admission process is also transparent. I am not saying this college is the best college but not the worst either.

The course was given by BPUT. As it was under BPUT at that time but now it is an autonomous institution. The faculties can be rude sometimes, but some of them are good and helpful. The faculties are highly qualified but the teaching doesn't depend on the qualifications. Overall they are good not the best. There are 4 internals in a year in which you have to secure 25 marks to pass each internal is of 50 marks. There are also marks for attendance and assignment. Also there is a quiz test. These all were included in the 50 marks internal

It does offer some but not many, it is too much hell bent on completing the course rather than internships. But yes it provide internship opportunity to students.

The placement in my year is great almost 90% of the student got placed in different companies. but the students having career lower than 60% faced problems during placement. Some of them are unplaced till now too. Almost 30-40 % students were placed off campus.

The financial assistance is not that good. If you can't pay the whole fee at one time, they have 3 instalments otherwise you have to give penalties. Scholarship is given on the basis of the semester scores the cutoff score was 9 cgpa in a year. They charge students of different fees like for wifi and skylab but those were not done. The college still don't have wifi.

There is annual sports and annual fest also another events like in robotics. There are may clubs like Entrepreneurship development cell, Photography club, Cricket club and others too. The facilities don't give importance to these extracurricular activities they only want their students to study the course. More over the campus life was good the seminars and other interactions are also great.
