Remarks
Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences, Indore (M.P.) provides quality education to the students at minimal fees. It provided the students with best research facilities, good faculty and friendly atmosphere. Even the students of B.Sc. are allowed to start their own research project from second year of their studies. College organised various industrial visits. College and student association have organised many National as well as International conferences every semester. Many of the UG and PG students have presented their research work in National as well as International conferences. For those students who want to be researchers, MRSC is the best platform for them to build their career.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus wasn't updated by the University since past 5-6 years. Enough industrial exposure was provided by the Department of biosciences and Department of Life sciences by organising Internship programs, visit to Waste water treatment plant, Nursery, Mike department, various Pharma and Food industries. Faculties were good, some of them were freshers as well, a few of them were research scholar as well as professors. Faculties in all were good but HOD (Dr Sheetal Bhasin and Dr Monica Jain) are the best microbiologists and plant tissue culture expert respectively. Along with them, Prof. Fatema Matkawala is one of the best teachers in the department. Even the Principal of the College, Dr Anand Nighojkar is a Biotechnologist.
Placement Experience
Many companies have either visited or contacted the departments regarding placements at my Alma mater named Lupin, Cipca, Duke Thompson Private Ltd, Medicare Hospital etc. Companies either organise interview at college or the students are directly called to the company. Then one theoretical test is followed by GD round. Those who have passed GD round are asked for personal interview. Placement department is improving now since the students are option for variety of career options and getting to work at different locations. Still there is need for improvement. There has been no notable alumni in my batch but yes one of the Alumni of our college named Mr Dushyant Singh Baghel is the founder of Nucleome bioinformatics Pvt Limited and another one Mr Nitesh Jasani is the owner of a startup named Agrocare Pvt Ltd.
College Events
Campus life was amazing. Various celebrations were held on friendship day (Red day), Stress Buster and Zumba sessions. Students organised fair and health care camps. Various departments organised National and international Conference on campus. Biggest event used to be the Annual function which held for like 3 days. Day 1 for art and craft, day 2 for other activities. Day 3 was the main function where the students of all the teams participated and choreographers would organise it really well.
Fees and Financial Aid
To the students who score above 85% in class 12, would get 50% off on UG fees. Those with above 80% would get 20% off on fees. During my graduation, scholarship criteria was different. I scored 80% in class 12th so I got scholarship of worth 50% in first year of study and in upcoming years scholarship of worth 20% (on scoring more than 80% every year). No such scholarship for PG courses.
Campus Life
Campus size of MRSC is 11 acres. Sport facilities are average but students excelled in Volleyball and football tournaments and have won laurels to the college. Wi-Fi connection is good. Library isn't very big when it comes to size but in terms of quality it really is good. It contains nearly thousand books of different fields of study along with Thesis and journals. Laboratory equipments include 3 Laminar air flows, 4 refrigerators, 5 incubators, 3 water baths, 1 autoclave, 2 pH meter and other instruments as well. Laboratory equipments are highly advanced in context to a private college and are in good conditions.
