Remarks
B.Com is the most taken course of today's time and my college Apeejay College of Fine Arts is a well known college of Jalandhar, no doubt that only smart kids take admission in this college. There are fifteen hundred students and one hundred and two teachers. in our college. There are thirty-eight classrooms and some other rooms meant for the library the common room, the prayer room, and the teacher's room. The library plays an important part in the students' college life. Inquisitive students go to the library during off period and read the rare books which they cannot afford to buy themselves. The college common room is a privilege for the students. It provides them with all kinds of periodicals, newspapers, magazines and indoor game equipment's. The college has its own playground and gymnasium. These facilities pave the way for the development of both mental and physical health of students. All the teachers are qualified and experienced. They teach us with great care and love. What is particularly striking to me about their teaching is the method of participatory teaching. They want more to reach us than to teach us. The method of teaching requires students to take an active part in the process of learning through interaction. I feel proud that I am a student of this college, which is equipped with an adequate library and other facilities for doing good results.
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Com is an fully updated course, no one ever faces any problem during B.Com. Neeru Mahajan is the best teacher one could get, she teaches law, also Manisha Ma'am is the best in her field she teaches Accountancy and Cost accounting. I'm blessed to have teachers like this as they provide with the best insights to the syllabus and one could easily learn everything by heart and apply all these in their daily life.
Placement Experience
Very few opportunities for placements. Only 4 or 5 students were selected at TCS. And there was one off campus walk in interview by Capgemini at Chandigarh. Some students gone for higher studies in India and some went abroad.
College Events
Many students expect their life, on their own, to be paradise. Living free of their parent's reign, students move into dormitories [a resident hall providing rooms for individuals or for groups usually without private baths(Merrium-Webster)]. Life without curfews and many "house" rules would seem to be a student's first taste of being an adult. Living in the dorms is the biggest hardship and challenge for most freshman students in transition from home to college life not to mention the life of living on campus period. The living conditions, roommates' situations, and campus life are most of the difficulties one might face as a freshman in the dorms.
