Remarks

It is the top government university in Uttrakhand and also the first agricultural university to be established in india. After agriculture food tech is the proffered branch so i opted for it. Campus is spread in acres which is best thing about university

Course Curriculum Overview

Subjects in food technology are less as compared to agricultural courses. No industrial exposure is provided as such, full time internship opportunities are only provided in final year. Faculties are very hard working, helpful never denies to help any students. If student faces any difficulty related to studies he or can get to their cabins

Placement Experience

Internship opportunities are provided in big sector companies like amul, Britannia etc. But the placement rate is very low hardly few students get placed through university placement

College Events

Campus life is fulfilled but as attendance is mandatory so schedule can become very hectic, various events are organised in university in large scale with huge Involvement from students side. Debate competition, speech competitions, singing, drama and various competitions other also takes place

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is quite good as various companies from all over the country show up at DBS for the internships and placements such as HDFC, Deloitte, Haffele, TCS etc. There are barely any student who dont get placed. As for my plans after getting my bachelor's degree is to either work for a good company if and when i get placed otherwise definitely grab the offer for the masters degree in management.

Our college has a very good placement ratio and placement also depends on the economy and industry that year and a lot lf other factor but if you have a CGPA of above 8 you are moat likely to get placed. The highest package ranges from 2-3 crores and average goes around 13lpa. I am currently planning to do an MBA after graduation from a foreign university moat likely Harvard.
