The college has a good name in the city. Also the campus was close to my home hence I chose to join this college. The institution is very well known in the city of Hubli-Dharwad as JSS is very well known and respected here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is very outdated and even the HOD will acknowledge this issue. The industrial exposure is none as the college is situated in a tier-2 city due to which there isn't any big MNC's present. The faculties are good, some are really knowledgeable whereas some are very rude and adamant. Manjunath sir and Vivek Laxmeshwar sir are very good in their respective field.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are really very poor. My batch got only Infosys as a recruiter and out of 100 students, only 8 got placed. The package provided was 2.2LPA which is common for a BCA grad. The college has poor alumni network. Regarding Entrepreneur Cell, I don't think it exists. The college should work more on getting its students placed in companies. I was lucky to have got placed in Infosys unlike my friends who didn't.
College Events
The college hosts multiple intra-college, inter-department and inter-college fests in the campus. Inter-college fests are not that big. Fests are usually conducted in the afternoon and they are wind up by evening. Fests are not allowed to be conducted at night.
Campus Life
The campus is very huge as it contains every educational institution from LKG till Post-Graduation. Sports facility is average. There is a big ground for playing outdoor games, a basket ball court, table-tennis court, gym etc. The campus has a big library where any student can rent books. Lab equipment is pretty ordinary.
