Remarks

The college needs to focus on placement of students and stop playing with their careers by inviting fake and substandard companies. Need to hire quality teachers and upgrade the curriculum to today's demands. Need to integrate more extracurricular activities.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE in 2007. I scored very less and wasn't hopeful of getting CSE. I opted for PDMCE because I got CSE there and also as it was the closest to my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum was very outdated. Not only the books were outdated but also the faculty didn't bother to upgrade their knowledge. It was the standard course provided by the university. The college didn't put any efforts to provide students with the latest developments. The faculty was below average, poor communication skills and no control over class. There were only a few good teachers.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship provided by the college. Students arranged for internship on their own. The college never made any effort to invite companies for internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

There was no campus placement. The college's training and placement cell is a joke. They got a fake company on the campus and the students were fooled by the college. The college however took some toppers to a TCS joint campus drive in some college. Only 5 were selected and offered a package of 2.75 Lac. No placements in this college.

College Events

2

There were no events conducted by college except the annual fest and sports day. The fest was exactly like the school annual function where only our college students would perform on stage. It was only a single day event. There was no inter college participation and students were forced to come attend the fest and were given invitation cards to even bring their parents. There was however one technical event conducted by the college after in 2012 but that was also mostly due to student's efforts.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for my 2007-2011 batch was feasible. The semester fees was 30,000 and exam fees was 1500. There was no other additional fees. An initial library fees was also paid to avail library books. The library fund was mostly refunded. The fees was however hiked in the succeeding batches to double. With no improvement made to college so much hike seems unjust for such a college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship provided by college. No loan facility offered by college. Students can take individual education loan. There was a university sponsored scholarship for students who got good rank in AIEEE.

Campus Life

3

The campus life was fine. There were no restrictions on coming in and going out of college. It was very chilled out in this case. The labs were just about fine. Infrastructure wise the college is average. Some classrooms are very large making it difficult for students at the back to listen properly.Gender ratio was unbalanced. Around 70:30 male to female ratio for the entire college. No cultural societies and no extracurricular activities. Only an annual fest and sports day were organized. Most of the crowd was from nearby villages and local. Many students from Rohtak and Delhi. There was no intolerance issues. Students from all religions were there. Most students were from lower to middle class families.Campus life was allover fine.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The hostels were not at all good. Most of the students in this college is from nearby places but still there were a few students living in hostel. The rooms were sharing basis. The quality of rooms and washrooms was below average. The mess was very unhygienic and very smelly. The food was also below average. As there are no PG in this area so staying in hostel was the only option. There are however flats available for very less rent.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no official alumni network. However most of the seniors were helpful. Seniors helped out with notes and project works.

Exam Structure

There were 2 sessional exams in each semester. They were conducted very casually and had no impact on internal marks. It was chilled out as each subject sessional was on a separate day and the syllabus covered was also less. The first sessional started around 2 months into the semester and the second after another 2 months and then the final university exams. There was no internal lab exams only finals.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty was below average. Most of them felt forced to come to teach. Unable to answer student queries. Some had very poor communication skills. There were a few good experienced teachers as well, but majority of faculty wasn't up to the mark. The teachers were never able to control the class and there were many instances of teachers walking out of class due to misbehavior.

Placements rate is obviously not 100% but we do get companies and out of 150 students only 110 actually sit in the placement cycle and out of these about 70 students do get placed in good companies. The companies that visit consist of mondelez, Adani wilmar, zomato hyper pure, haldiram, loykaa, jubilent, baker's dozen, Lt foods, etc. The highest package goes up to 15 lakhs and average package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are done in the final year. In the 7th semester, students have to go for a semester-long industrial training. Some students are offered pre-placement offers, and some sit for the placement process. The highest packages have gone upto 8 LPA-10 LPA, in quality/supply chain/management related roles. More than 10-15 companies visit, and almost all of the students get placed. I personally would like to go for higher studies.
