Remarks

TNAU is one of the prestigious University in the world. I was inspired by the infrastructure of TNAU, an age old building still standing new, even after the 55 years. It has all kind of facilities required for a student and faculties. The faculties who are student friendly encourages us throughout our college life and even after that. One of the highest Ranking universties, still getting admissions is a dream for many. I opted for Agri Business Management because of my interest in Business activities related to Agriculture. There is a Business Incubation forum in TNAU, which welcomes new ideas and even provide grants for students for the start of a new business. It provides opportunities for students to earn while studying as well and outsiders. Competitions are also being conducted to expose new business ideas by students. Campus interview are also being conducted in which many companies participate. As a whole TNAU is a life changer which priovides immense number of opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

TNAU is having a fully revised and updated curriculum under the supervision of ICAR. Our 2017 syllabus is fully updated at the time of our joining. The syllabus is structured in such a way that students can grasp the subject matter so easily through outdoor classes and industrial visits. The syllabus also make the students think out of box. Presentations are also conducted as a part of practical examination which gives self confidence to the students and also improves their skills. Industrial visits are planned often for every course to make us practically understand the subject matter. The faculties in TNAU are well updated in their respective subjects and they also learn daily for keeping themselves updated. Each and every one of staff has a peculiar way of teaching. Dr D Murugananthi Mam ( Finance and Marketing), Dr Samsai sir ( Operations Management), Dr Sudhagar sir (Plant breeding and Genetics), Dr Moghana Lavanya mam ( Supply Chain management) and many other faculties have their unique way of imparting their knowledge to the students.

Our Department function is PRABANDHAZ which is a National level B Fest ( Management meet) for which students from all Agricultural colleges and Business schhols in India participate at both PG and UG levels. Apart from these, SANGAMITHRA is a cultural fest in which students from all four houses compete. MUTHAMIZH VIZHA is conducted to highlight the importance of Tamil Language. There are different Clubs in our campus like ORCHESTRA, TREKKING, DRAMA, TATLER, TAMIL MANDRAM, ENGLISH, COMPARING, ECO CLUB etc which are started with CLUB INAUGURATION. Also HOSTEL DAY is conducted to entertain the hostel students whose only concentration is on studies. These competitions and functions are conducted to bring out the hidden talents in the students.

TNAU is known for it's infrastructural facilities. The Sports ground in TNAU has separate tracks for relay and race, basketball court, volleyball court, football court, hockey ground and many other games. Sports day is also conducted as a part of SANGAMITHRA in which students from all the 4 houses participate for winning the overall championship. Also an INTER COLLEGE TOURNAMENT is conducted for a week in TNAU for which students from all Agricultural colleges participate. TNAU library is one of the largest libraries which has books of all genres. The library is well arranged with seperate stacks for each genre. And there is a WiFi zone in our campus which available for all the students. And there is an e learning center in our library where students can have access to Internet for their study purpose. Each department of TNAU has separate lab facilities which are fully equipped. The laboratories have precise equipments which helps students to learn faster as well as farmers for soil testing and also aids in New variety development. They also give advices to farmers from cropping to marketing of their produce. Sessions are also conducted for farmers about new technologies by our Extension department.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I am a hosteller. There are 8 hostels in our campus, different hostels for boys and girls. The hostel infrastructures and facilities are very well lit and equipped with all the necessary facilities. Each hostel is under the supervision of a Residential Tutors and Deputy Wardens, who are under the control of Warden and and chief warden being the Dean of our Campus. Hostel admissions are done on the day of admission itself. Even the student can join the hostel in the mid of the course. The admissions to hostels are a very simple process. Each hostel is having separate mess. A common mess for girls is built recently which can accommodate more than 500 people at a time. The food is to self served. A Digital entry system is being developed for recording attendance of students as well as to keep check of in and out time. There are plenty of seats in hostel and there is no need to take a PG at all. The mess menu is decided by students and the mess is run by the student representatives of each year. Special items like mushrooms, chicken, fish, egg are given to students on Wednesdays and Sundays.Hostels and mess are maintained clean and tidy. In washrooms and washing areas hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by the workers. There is a separate parking lot for cycles for students of each year. There are even washing machines in each hostels. Hostel rules are strictly followed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The physiotherapy has a wide range of opportunities after completing the bachelors either you can go for masters or work at hospital as physiotherapy or you can be working as an independent physio and treat the patients at their home, or you can start a clinic and can manage that. The physiotherapy is growing field that has a good future . You'll be good physio if you diagnose your patients correctly, if you follow the doctors prescription you will be technician. In this college the patients are less and the teaching quality is worst , you'll need to work at clinics to get a idea about everything. The college only teaches theory but not practicals

The placement here is pretty good , we can get internships from 3 rd year onwards but the placement is after 4th year . The highest package offered here is 1.08 cpa The average package offered here is 6 lpa And if you want to get a good enough package here you will habe to study. Hard and be productive in coding it will be best if you maintain a higher cgpa than 8 . Many companies come here like amazon, google, tcs and many more.

I am currently in 3rd year. From what I have heard and seen. There are core companies like Boeing, indigo etc.. who are regularly coming for campus placement. This year I heard that about 11-12 people for selected in Boeing for a package of 9-10 LPA. I can say one thing for sure that placements are only based on your individual performance and your skill set. Just learning the course isn't going to land you a job. All the people who are competing for this job has done the same thing like you did (ie complete this course). Try to know your basics very well instead of faking your CGPA. Attend lectures, competition and internship to keep that resume look unique

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Artificial Intelligence and data science as I was veey much interested to learn about AI and I believe that this course has a lot of scope outside. In my college they do provide a good curriculum for this course that teaches things from the basic to advanced level. The difficulty level of exams is a bit high sometimes but if we maintain a good score overall it will be easy to pass.
