Remarks

This is one of the few colleges where B.Sc. economics is offered, with honors. With a great faculty, this college is known for cohesive studies and practical approach. Although this college does not have a good base for co-curricular activities, a good network in Pune helps in realising all opportunities, if you're not study-oriented. The city has a lot of good colleges, so exposure to fest culture is immense without having to leave the city.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is one of the best things about the course. With add-on courses, it is changed every year to be up to date with the economic world. Inputs are taken from students as to keep up with the abilities of the batch. This said, the faulty is easy going, and helps us a lot, With compulsory internships, industrial exposure in non-profit and profit organisations is provided.

Placement Experience

The placement cell and E-cell in the college are actively scouting for job opportunities and internships. Alumni networking hasn't proved to be that strong as of now. Incubation of start-ups is very lucid; though not many start-ups have been initiated in the college yet.

Many events are organised on campus: guest lectures, seminars, workshops, etc. Culturally, initiatives taken are by various clubs and we rely on the student body to come up with ideas and execute them. Drama club, Music club and Poetry club are pretty active activity-wise and hold regular workshops pertaining to their scope as a club.

Campus Life

SSE lacks bigtime in infrastructure. There are no on-campus sport facilities, although free access is given to other SIU campuses, like Lavale or Viman Nagar. Wi-Fi is provided 24X7. Library is pretty small, but adequate resource-wise.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

The college is best for placement and club activity

Placement Experience:

In my branch, the placement is good In 2025, 150 students are placed in Wipro, infosys, Amazon and Google like companies the minimum package is seven lakh. Also in my branch one Student it is placed in Amazon with 47 lakh rupees package in college. They already prepare Student for interviews and aptitude test. The placement cell is conduct aptitude test with the Google for students for each semester in that they test our coding skills, English skills and attitude test from that they give us a detail information in which skills are lacking and on which skill we want to work

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS

I chose SSE over JGU without a doubt and have no regrets about the same. The course in JGU was new and interesting. I quite liked it but personally economics and "Symbiosis" appealed more to me.
