I was very interested in the industrial manufacturing of garments since it is still a very labour centric industry thus it gathers lot more challenges than any other industry. India used to be prime producer of textiles and hub of cheap labours. Apparel industry indeed played a major role in flourishing the Indian economy along with the lifestyle of the people. Now India plays an vital role in service providing sector to the apparel brands of western countries.

Since the industrial growth brings the rapid changes in the systems and techniques, new ideas are always welcomed in the industry as well as in the curriculum also. Faculties have very high industrial exposure thus helping students to direct them with their ideas for the adequate result and destiny. The curriculum keeps on refreshing as per the industry requires it's future young employees to be aware of.

Yes, I took 3 internships. 1st in textile company of Arvind Denims Lmt, in Ahmedabad, it was for 2 weeks after 2nd year. The process is usually we have to reach the company HRs or the faculty will help u there. It's always a non paid internship. 2nd and 3rd are apparel internship. I took that in Raymond's for 2 months and 3 months respectively. The process is same. But this can be paid or unpaid, mine was unpaid. Here we have to accomplish the projects. After the completion of 3rd year we have to undertake this internship.

Most of the time export companies will take u over. The placements are centralised and the most of the companies are well known. You will be judged over your experience and internship projects u have taken.

It's very entertaining. I won't lie telling life will be sorted. No, you will a lot of assignments and curriculum going on side by side but by the end of the day u learn a lot more things. The crowd will always support to ur interests and u get a great audience to show ur talent.

Since Kangra is a valley, it is well connected by the roadways. The college is beautiful and is widespread. All the required labs and classes are available. You may complain about the grounds for cricket of football but there is a well built gymnasium.

Yes. And you should definitely go for that. Boys hostel is not available. But girls hostel have good facilities. Laundary services,maid will clean everyday, high speed wifi, water coolers, mess everything.
