Overall it's excellent I would say but compared to the fees structure the management should have taken a step further in educating and providing better facilities to students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes very much good efforts taken by the university of Mysore for the better development of our education. The curriculum is well groomed for the better future of the students. And talking about campus placements our college had the best placement service there a separate department known as placement cell which provides us placements once our education is complete. And many industrial visits as well as internships where held during our 1st and 2nd semester.
Placement Experience
Yes as I have mentioned above placement cells are available in our college we need to opt it once we are completed with our education. College has provided us with many Industrial visits as well has internships in many star category hotels in our hometown locality. I'm still pursuing so right now I would not speak much about placement.
College Events
Ethnic day,Cultural day,Training day,Kitchen practicals.The biggest event organized was world tourism day on this day all the students were assigned to a particular task were has the students had to participate equally in all the works and maintain dignity with well grooming and punctuality this was at the best world tourism day was celebrated with hon. tourism minister of Karnataka.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The annual course fee is up-to 55000.Including 3 years of degree it costs around 165000.The fees structure is comparatively high for the education provided then compared with other colleges. The college accepts DD or bank payments. The does not provide us transperancy in our fee structre.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I was not provided any loan or scholarship facility from our college side. And there was no information at first I was told students would get loan for education but for the local students no loan facility was given.
Campus Life
Yes college has good Practical labs facility debates extra curricular activities but Sports are not conducted in our department. Only practicals assignments and debates were taken up frequently. Other than that no extra curricular activities were mentioned.
Hostel Facilities
No I have not opted for hostel facility because the college is near by to my home and I am born and raised in the same locality so there was no need of hostel or pG facility. The college has an hostel inside the campus for girls and an outside PG for boys.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the networks are great the alumni us providing us better carrier growth and interviews and internships which lead us in self development.
Admission
I'm pretty much interested in hotel industry hence I got an admission into this college. admisson procedure in this college is simple just need to pay for the admisson 55000 per year with DD and get registered.At first when I went to the college for the admisson the HOD of the college showed me around the whole college and the infrastructure was excellent and the kitchen labs. Training restaurants where tremendous hence I was obliged to join this course.
Faculty
Our college has more than 15-20 working staffs in our department tourism and hospitality. All the staffs are well educated. We have mentors HoD and directors who guide through our education diving in deep we have chefs. Who teach us Cooking and culinary arts. Lab lectures who guide us about how to better develop our self's in this hotel industry.
