Remarks

I got selected in IIIT-B in electrical and electronic engineering but I had an interest in mechanical engineering, so I joined CET-B. Many dream companies arrive at CET-B many times like Flipkart, Amazon, etc. But they haven't yet arrived in IIIT-B. So, I think I took the right decision.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the teachers in our college are Ph.D. holders from top institutes like IITs and NITs and are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality depends on each teacher. The course curriculum is relevant, and it has courses that make the students' industry-ready. The college has tie-ups with many governments and private industries which provide great internships.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 195000 per year

Placement Experience

In the academic year 2016-17, around 90% of the students from our branch got placed. The highest salary package offered including all the branchers was 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2. 4 LPA. The average salary package offered 3,72,850 LPA in the year 2016-17. The top recruiting companies for mechanical engineering are Maruti Suzuki, Vedanta, Robert Bosch, TCS-IES, etc. Almost everyone got internships in many governments and top private industries.

College Events

This college has the only AI research center in the state. I'm not hostile but I've heard from my hostel friends that food served and rooms are of average quality. We also have a dispensary and many sports facilities. Infact, CET-B itself hosts many sports events from where participants come from every corner of Odisha.

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple.
