Remarks

Kerala University Allotments was one of the reasons I chose All Saints College. Another reason was based on their reputation especially the English department. Other students (from the college, ex-students) also gave positive feedback on the college, which led me to opt for the college. Parents were another for choosing the college (they were quite pressuring me to choose the college).

Course Curriculum Overview

Some teachers were able to complete the curriculum, while others were not too bothered to do so. M. com faculty and Environment Studies faculty are quite good on the academics side. English department teachers are really good teachers. Bit they don't come often in classes, which leads to extra classes at the end of a semester. This made us students feel frustrated as most of us study during the exam holidays.

Placement Experience

2.5

Wipro job allotment, Manorama job allotment we're the only allotments I saw in our college. But PG students we're not informed of the allotment and we had to find it through other degree students.

College Events

2.5

As a PG student, our exposure to events was quite low. (as teachers said we have to study). Miss All Saints Day and College days are quite important in college and you can see their grandeur. Students participated in quite a lot in these functions. Exposure to degree students to these functions is a lot. Also, the student union played a major part in managing an event. They worked a lot for bringing a variety to the functions.

Hostel Facilities

Well PG hostel fees were Rs5000, which is quite high based on the poor hostel facilities. Hostel rooms got renovated during 2019, which led to steep of the hostel fees. Toilets were in a terrible condition. And I often had to clean a toilet to use it. Mess food was terrible and the best food would be made only during Saints day or any events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The major aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course was it's broadness in scope and allowance to be a base for other professional courses. But the curriculum not really prepares us for real world applications.
