Adit's Review On CMD PG College, Bilaspur

The duration of the course is 2 years which is divided into 4 semesters and it provides a blend of all the aspects related to micro and macro economics in the society. The subjects which are taught during this 2 year period are International Finance and Trade, Public Economics, Introductory Mathematical Economics, Econometric Modules, Industrial Economics, Micro/Macro Economic Theory, etc and Project work. This helps the students in identifying the structural changes that is going on in the market as well as dealing with the national security and stability of the economy.

Companies such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra, IBM, Wipro, City Bank, Deloitte, TCS etc visited our college campus during our batch. The average starting salaries offered by these renowned companies ranges between 4-7 LPA. The posts that were offered to students were data analyst, financial planner, professional economist, equity analyst, investment banker and many more. Some of the students went for government forms and teaching fields. Internships are also offered by our college and the stipend for the same was 15,000 per month.

The tuition fees for the first year is 8290 and for the second year is 7990. Thus the total fees for 2 years is approx to 16,280. This fees structure is very affordable and nominal as compared to the other colleges offering the same course.

Scholarships were offered to meretricious students who scored good marks in their previous examinations. Financial aid is also provided by the college to the students belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society. Seats are also reserved for SC/ST and PWDs.

Book exhibitions, blood donation camps, social activities such as tree plantation, offering free meals to poor students, imparting education to the students belonging to the slum areas, promoting awareness about HIV, etc are conducted by our college cultural club. Workshops and seminars are also organised on topics such as save the girl child, pollution control, global warming, banking and industry etc so that the students learn more about the society on a wider angle. National festivals and sports activities are also held at our college to boost up the moral of the students.

The student should have passed class 12th with 50% marks from a recognized board. Other than that he/she should possess a bachelors's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university. 5% relaxation is given to the reserved category. Admission process is done on the basis of the merit list prepared by the college administration on the basis of qualifying marks in class 12th. The candidate should be present at the time of counselling session if his/her name appears in the list.

The teachers are very well qualified and provide the students knowledge about all the aspects which covers the topics related to financial management and the functioning of our economy. Guests lectures include topics such as Banking and Finance, Behavior Economics, Market and Reforms, Labor Market, etc. Doubts are solved and we are also given sample papers so that we get a knowledge about the pattern of questions asked in the exams.
